#rubber #dumping #vibration #sealing #injection #compression

ABOUT US :

GEFICCA TECNHOLOGIES GROUP was formed in January 2024. GEFICCA and SOMA are specialists in the moulding and overmoulding of rubber parts. From formulation to series production, GEFICCA uses a wide range of cutting-edge technologies to meet its customers’ needs and requirements. Since 1981 GEFICCA and 1984 our subsidiary SOMA have been simplifying your daily life with rubber. GEFICCA combines its know-how, technology and responsiveness with a tailor-made approach to all the projects entrusted to it. More than 250 people work every day in France and Tunisia (SOMA). Recognized for its expertise, GEFICCA supports major players in the automotive, defense, sports and leisure, industrial, household appliance and energy sectors. GEFICCA TECHNOLOGIES GROUP IN BRIEF – Turnover of over €26 million – 3 sites (France 4800 m2 – Tunisia 5000m2) – 3 ISO certifications – 45% exports – 240 employees – Presence in over 20 countries

Dumping and resiliant products

All moving systems (machines, vehicles…) generates vibrations of varying intensity. These vibrations or shocks are serious problems and may lead to disastrous outcomes if unchecked: noise pollution, excessive fatigue and degradation of materials, increased maintenance costs, defective equipment or discomfort.
GEFICCA, through its expertise, uses filters and systems to achieve quality damping. Our research laboratory and our teams are able to calculate and formulate elastomer solutions that will decrease these nuisances.

Sealing products

To ensure the performance of their products, manufacturers and automakers must use efficient sealing systems, developed to withstand the most extreme conditions such as fluids (water, air, steam, gas, oils), solid elements (dust, sand) or low and high temperatures.
As expert in waterproofing solutions, GEFICCA develops materials and products that ensure the dynamic or static sealing of your systems while respecting environmental standards. They guarantee optimum safety and performance over time.

Sustainable materials

A rubber part is manufactured from a formulated mixture containing several raw materials. Although it may look basic, it is in fact a complex formula that has been carefully thought through to obtain the targeted properties in terms of mechanical performance, environmental resistance and functionality, and which now also incorporates objectives linked to environmental issues.

We formulate to obtain a three-dimensional network that gives rubber its unequalled characteristics: elasticity, vibration filtration, mechanical properties, damping, waterproofing, thermal insulation and extreme resistance.

GEFICCA is studying more eco-responsible raw materials: recycled, biosourced, reclaimed or with a better carbon footprint, to offer finished products that have less impact on the environment, while maintaining the same performance.  GEFICCA actively participates in various groups bringing together industry players working on Sustainable Development, Recycling, the Circular Economy and responsible sourcing. Solutions are then deployed within our plant to limit waste, such as regenerating rubber for re-use in our formulations, or granulating waste for re-use in another finished product.

NEW INNOVATION

Split DBS: EXSTO’s innovation to meet your challenges

In the floating wind sector, operators and flexible cable suppliers frequently face critical challenges: replacing a damaged DBS without halting operations or connecting cables in hard-to-reach environments. These constraints demand robust, field-ready solutions.

Renowned for its exceptional resistance in the harshest environments, polyurethane offers unparalleled durability and reliability. Leveraging these properties, our teams have developed a Split DBS, a smartly designed solution that enables direct installation on pre-existing cables. This eliminates the need for disconnection, minimizing operational downtime. Additionally, by decoupling DBS installation from cable manufacturing, it streamlines logistics and reduces complexity.

The Split DBS exemplifies our commitment to pushing the boundaries of material performance to deliver sustainable, high-performing solutions that align with our clients’ boldest ambitions.

With more than 45 years experience, ERMO is a leading company in the manufacturing of multi-cavities high precision moulds for flip-top closure, multi-colour / material and thin wall packaging.

From feasibility study to full production start-up and follow-up, ERMO proposes multiple patented technologies and can provide turnkey solutions such as: Fast cycle Multi-cavities, Multi Components Moulds,Stack moulds, In Mould labelling (IML), In Mould Closing (IMC), In Mould Assembly technologies (IMA) …Additionally, ERMO provides innovative electrical solutions, such as electrical in-mold closing and electrical in-mold labeling, designed to support a more sustainable industry and adapt to the evolving needs of customers.

Specializing in high-speed cavity molds, ERMO stands out for its expertise in designing and manufacturing molds with highly optimized cycle times, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity for its clients. Our unique know-how is based on three key technical solutions: Rotation, Coreback, and Indexed Tray, allowing us to meet diverse and complex production needs. Additionally, ERMO offers a dedicated space for mold prototyping and testing, complete with an integrated quality control service, ensuring reliability and performance at every stage of development.

In addition to our mould design activity, we support our customers with a range of associated services (e.g. mould flow, assistance with production start-up, etc.) to provide them with a turnkey solution. We can operate in it through our automation subsidiary ERPA, specialist in automatation since 1996. Some projetcts examples of these last year :gripping hand, robot integration (3 axis to 6 axis), integration of off-mold functions…

MAC2S : 4.0 patented solution for alignment & mould productivity

The MAC2S (Mold Alignment Continuous Safety System) is an ERMO patented system for controlling mould alignment. The aim? Improve the productivity of your tooling and increase the life of the mould.

  • Alignment check at each cycle
  • Sound and e-mail alerts
  • Mould recognition via RFID
  • Checking the opening of the parting line
  • Reading new sensors (temperature and pressure sensors)
  • Real-time production control with RS via cloud communication
  • On-demand sensor integration
OUR ECO-RESPONSIBLE COMMITMENTS

The ISO 50001 certification obtained by ERMO since 2021 rewards the performance of our energy management system. Our company, which has placed energy management at the heart of its industrial policy, is also going further by taking a close interest in the carbon offsetting policy. To this end, we have been carrying out a voluntary carbon assessment for the past two years and we now offset 100% of our Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
In addition to these actions, numerous initiatives to contribute to energy sobriety are underway, such as the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of our new building.

NEW INNOVATION

Traditionally, the production of a bi- or tri-material cap requires several stages, making the process costly and complex. With E-IMA, ERMO is simplifying this process by integrating an assembly technique directly into the mould. This innovation makes it possible to combine all the stages in a single mould, thereby improving productivity and quality management.

By creating a technology that enables several parts to be assembled directly in the mould, ERMO is effectively ‘replacing’ 3 tools in a single mould. On the one hand, this innovation saves an assembly stage and its associated costs (conveying, storage, etc.), and on the other, electrification will save electricity consumption and boost productivity thanks to a more secure, variation-free process. With E-IMA, the gain in cycle time is estimated at +13%. Different polymer materials can also be processed at the same time on the same mould.

E-IMA is an innovation that marks ERMO’s commitment to a greener, more sustainable industry, and is also a response to the challenges faced by its customers. It’s also a commitment to the future, to combating energy waste from our industrial facilities, and to achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.

Benefits of E-IMA:

  • 100% electric technology
  • Productivity gains
  • Flexibility thanks to easy adjustment of the closure
  • Energy savings
  • Easy maintenance
  • Very low energy consumption
