ABOUT US :

At AcXys Technologies, atmospheric pressure plasma surface treatment has been our sole focus for 25 years. Atmospheric pressure plasma treatment facilitates surface preparation prior to bonding, painting, varnishing or cleaning – which has led to a rapid expansion of its use in all industrial sectors. 

The main applications are:  

  • Plasma activation prior to bonding
  • Plasma activation prior to marking and decorating steps
  • Plasma treatment prior to painting or varnishing operations
  • Surface cleaning and decontamination
  • Plasma activation prior to injection molding
  • Thin layer deposit

Our atmospheric pressure plasma technologies enable a cost effective, quick and environmentally friendly implementation of manufacturing processes.

Our range of standard plasma or custom designed equipment offers highly effective automated and integrated surface treatment solutions.

Our equipment range is designed to cover all applications, from R&D to highly automated, high speed industrial installations.

To cover all our customer’s needs, we have developed a range of different, but complimentary technologies :

  • ULS : a compact and powerful plasma generator with multi-nozzles and a wide variety of nozzles shapes – including rotative nozzle – to better accommodate each process.
  • ULD : a distinct plasma equipment only offered by AcXys Technologies and designed for large 2D surface geometries.
  • ULC : specially designed for coating, AcXys Technologies has developed 2 specific devices for thin layer deposits with the V-Coat (SiOx oriented ) and with the S-Coat (other materials).
  • TKE : turn-key equipment with easy to program trajectories, 3 models available : QUICKSET (flexible cell), LABSCAN (Compact cell) with integrated ULS technology and ULSCAN (large cell) also with integrated ULS technology. 
  • TKS : 3 specific equipment with P-MIX for powder activation, G-MIX to deliver complex gas mixtures and the ACTIVA for batch processing of flat parts. 

AcXys Technologies can also manufacture atmospheric pressure plasma surface treatment systems according to customers’ specifications, either as stand-alone stations or for complete integration into the customers’ existing production line. 

AcXys Technologies is working with numerous industries (automotive, aerospace, medical, electronics, watchmaking, packaging…).

AcXys Technologies is based and manufactures all its equipment in France and has been exporting worldwide for 25 years. 

ULS OMEGA

This equipment has all the interfaces and flexibility required to integrate plasma technologies into complex industrial environments. This is the ideal equipment for when plasma processing parameters need to be monitored and controlled and when there is a need to interact with other equipment of the production line. 

ULS OMEGA is available as standard with 1, 2 or 3 nozzles to increase the processing capacity according to cycle time requirements. ULS modules are flexible and versatile – they can accommodate a larger number of nozzles upon request – should large scale treatments be necessary. ULS technology is easy to integrate, thanks to its small footprint and compact nozzle.

ULD

This equipment is designed for all 2D surface geometries. 

Able to produce a homogeneous plasma curtain from 60 mm to 500 mm, the treatment can be applied to flat parts. Larger areas can be activated by combining multiple sources.  This equipment is nitrogen or doped-nitrogen fed being used in industries such as microelectronics and medical.

AcXys Technologies is the only manufacturer of this kind of equipment.

P-MIX

Atmospheric plasma treatment of powders is very promising, as it enables the surface energy of the powders to be modified to improve their wettability or, conversely, their ability not to agglomerate.

To achieve this plasma treatment easily and economically, AcXys Technologies has developed equipment that operates at atmospheric pressure. This equipment, called P-MIX, makes it possible to cleanly and rapidly batch treat different powders by increasing or decreasing their surface energy.

Powder processing is used in all kinds of industries (medical, pharmaceutical, polymers, additive manufacturing, etc.) and has expanded in recent years.

OUR ECO-RESPONSIBLE COMMITMENTS

Atmospheric plasma  is an eco-friendly solution to achieve efficient surface treatment, with very low CO2 emissions.

By changing the wettability or adhesion capacity of a surface, plasma processes make it possible to replace flaming or many liquid chemical processes, which are polluting.

NEW INNOVATION

AcXys Technologies AcXys has developed its range of equipment so that different options can be economically combined with standard equipment. The range of nozzles now includes several standard references, including 2 innovative rotary nozzles and a specific torch for manual use HANDY.
