ABOUT US :

Provençale is one of the European leaders in calcium carbonate. Founded in 1933, the company mines an extremely pure calcium carbonate on 5 different deposits. It is processed in our factories, all of which, are ISO 9001 certified. The company is also ISO 14001 and ISO 22000 certified for food safety. The product range meets all the requirements of plastic processing companies, thanks to particularly controlled particle size distributions. Some of them benefit from a surface treatment which increases the affinity with the different polymers. In addition, products in the CALATEM and MIKHART range have an extreme whiteness which allows them to be used in PVC as well as in polyolefins.

Provençale SA proposes recycled products from its plants in Cases de Pène (France-Pyrénées Orientales) and Marcael (Arboleas, Spain). These products have been assessed in accordance with the technical requirements of the EN ISO 14021: 2016 standard.

Latest generation of calcium carbonates developed by Provençale, Calatem range is composed by ultrafine products with exceptional colorimetric characteristics (very high whiteness and purity of color). Some products benefit from a surface treatment to improve their compatibility with polymers. Its fineness and whiteness make it an excellent substitute or extender of titanium.

Coated Mikhart are very pure and very bright surface coated natural calcium carbonates. This treatment increases calcium carbonate’s affinity with synthetic resins and considerably improves mixture quality. This range of products is also defined by very low oil absorption.

OUR ECO-RESPONSIBLE COMMITMENTS

Ground calcium carbonate (GCC) is plastic’s component with the lowest carbon footprint and network of our factories allows us to be as close as possible to customer requests.

We are considered as an Ecovadis Committed company

NEW INNOVATION

Provencale S.A propose a large range of totally or partially recycled products. Based on the whitest marble deposits from Spain or resulting from reprocessing for recovery by sieving or crushing of waste recovered on our cleaning or micronization facilities, we propose 8 products recycled.

ABOUT US :

NaturePlast has been dedicated since 2007 to supporting industrial companies in transferring technology towards bioplastics (biobased plastics and/or biodegradable) through several complementary activities: raw material distribution, compound production, R&D, and offering comprehensive expertise on this major innovation in the plastics industry.

NaturePlast thus offers French and European converters and end-users a broad portfolio of raw materials and compounds that can be used on conventional plastics processing equipment.

Its wholly-owned subsidiary, BiopolyNov, created in 2010, is a R&D center entirely dedicated to these new materials. The mission of this entity is to modify/improve the properties of bioplastics according to functional specifications, in order to provide the material with the targeted properties for processing or use.

NaturePlast supports innovation projects across all sectors: packaging, 3D printing, luxury goods, horticulture/agriculture, transportation, construction, leisure, etc.

Beyond conventional developments based on plant fibers such as wood, miscanthus, flax, or hemp, NaturePlast has been working for several years on the development of an innovative range of biocomposites made from agro-food and industrial waste or by-products (seashells, algae, husks, beer dregs, etc.).

To this end, NaturePlast is equipped with grinding and sieving equipment, enabling the on-site processing of by-products, which are then mixed with various plastic matrixes.
