NEW INNOVATION

APROMUD® G373: a major breakthrough in saline sludge conditioning

Industrial activities (construction, industrial processes, mining, contaminated sites and soils, ports, etc.) generate significant volumes of sludge containing high concentrations of salts, particularly sodium and calcium chlorides. The presence of these salts greatly complicates conditioning, handling, transportation, and storage operations, while increasing energy and logistical costs.

Conventional solutions—such as thermal coagulation, heavy lime or carbonate treatments, or standard drying agents binders—reach their limits in saline environments. They often require substantial overdosing, significantly increase the volume of material to be disposed of, and result in higher energy consumption and environmental impact.

APROMUD® G373, a patented innovation developed by APROTEK, overcomes this major technical barrier. Specifically formulated for saline environments, it enhances liquid absorption capacity by up to 200% or more in salt-laden matrices. It enables rapid solidification (approximately 15 minutes) of salty sludge at low dosage, making it immediately shovel-ready and easy to handle.

Its performance is independent of the type of salts present (NaCl, CaCl₂, KCl, MgCl₂, etc.). By improving particle cohesion, APROMUD® G373 reduces stockpile erosion during heavy rainfall, enhances loading safety, and optimizes logistics costs through reduced volume and lower energy consumption.

Neutral, non-corrosive, and inert in mineral matrices (biodegradable under specific conditions), it also improves operational efficiency by facilitating equipment and truck bed cleaning.

APROMUD® G373 positions itself as a benchmark technical solution for the efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable treatment of industrial salty sludge.

These evaporation processes provide solutions to a wide range of industrial issues, regardless of the sector, related to concentration, volume reduction, and effluent treatment.

Stripping (also known as distillation) enables the separation of a solvent. This technology is used to separate a solvent from volatile compound, and based on passing a gas (often air, steam, or an inert gas) through a liquid in order to transfer the volatile components of the liquid to the gas phase.
The most common application is the separation of ammonia or alcohol in order to improve condensate quality.
FE Process has developed and patented a ready-to-use solution which combines a stripping process together with mechanical vapor recompression (MVR) and a reboiler for the purpose of significantly optimizing vapor and electric consumption.

Thanks to our expertise in thermal design, our units are specifically designed to achieve market-leading energy performance, while minimizing steam consumption.
Our installations feature specific technology that recovers low-pressure and low-temperature energy. This recovered energy is then reused in the process at a much higher temperature (e.g. from 45°C to 180°C).
This ability to transform “lost” energy into a useful resource significantly reduces the need for live steam, and immediately lowers operating costs, thus optimizing overall energy efficiency.
This process provides more sustainable installations, better suited to current environmental and regulatory challenges.

The ECODAS T100 offers a treatment capacity of 100L per 30min average cycle time.

The contaminated waste is loaded into the upper chamber where a heavy-duty, high-torque, low speed shredder reduces the waste into small pieces.

Using gravity, the processed material drop into the lower treatment chamber, where every particle is steam heated to 138°C and pressurized to 3,5 bar for 10 minutes. The operating and treatment conditions are continuously monitored and validated to achieve complete sterilization (Microbial inactivation = 108).

After the cooling process, the final product is volume-reduced (by up to 80 %), rendered unreusable and safe to recycle or to dispose as ordinary municipal waste.

The ECODAS T300 offers a treatment capacity of 350L per 30min average cycle time.

OUR ECO-RESPONSIBLE COMMITMENTS

The Quality assurance of ECODAS systems is executed following ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015 standards.
The ECODAS technology is recognized and recommended by WHO, UN, UNDP, UNICEF, World Bank, Global Fund,…

NEW INNOVATION

The ECODAS technology offers the advantage of being all-in-one, with no intermediate handling of the infectious waste during the treatment cycle and thus preventing any danger to operators. The different models (6) allow for on-site installation, reducing transport-related pollution. Our process is environmentally friendly, economical, and easy to use. It produces no fumes, therefore no atmospheric emissions or toxic effluents, as the treatment is carried out using steam without the addition of any chemicals. Since its early beginning, ECODAS advocates and emphasizes the fundamental principle of its solution: Zero toxic emissions unlike incineration and burning technologies.

Gradually ECODAS has forged a network of reliable and loyal distributors and partners providing turnkey projects that include project planning, installation, commissioning, training, maintenance, tele maintenance, and ultimately the all-inclusive operation of its Systems.

The reliability of our products, our « Made in France » expertise, and our excellent reputation contribute to our company’s international success. We have over 700 machines installed worldwide, with a presence in 100 countries.

Today, we are leader in the infectious waste (hospital, animal waste, food industry, pharmaceutical, seaport and airport waste) non-burned treatment market worldwide.
ECODAS offers six (6) machine models with different treatment capacities from 100 liters to 2500 liters/ cycle.
