Complementerre is a French company specialized in designing and manufacturing innovative crane-lifted composters that provide an efficient and sustainable solution for managing food waste at source.

Our composters are simple, robust, and adaptable, integrating seamlessly into diverse environments—urban areas, rural communities, mountain resorts, or tourist destinations. Designed with practicality in mind, they can be installed on any type of ground and withstand all weather conditions thanks to their watertight construction and optimized aeration system.

Complementerre composters are highly appreciated for their ease of use, low operating costs, and ecological integration. They feature optional built-in or external shredded-wood reserves, facilitating proper composting practices for end users. Unlike traditional collection systems, the emptying process is based on the actual filling rate, not on a fixed schedule. This approach allows municipalities, cities, and private operators to significantly reduce collection costs and adapt seamlessly to seasonal variations, such as tourism peaks. Already implemented by many local cities and intercommunalities in France, Complementerre’s solutions have proven their effectiveness in optimizing biowaste management while respecting landscapes and local communities.

To further support composting operations, Complementerre also provides a chip blower system designed to streamline the delivery of shredded material to composting sites and green spaces. Adaptable to both light and heavy vehicles—new or second-hand—it enables autonomous on-site transport and distribution of shredded material. Simple, fast, and efficient, the chip blower makes daily tasks easier for field teams, saves time, reduces manual handling, and optimizes the logistics of shared composting sites or landscape maintenance.

Crane-lifted composters

Complementerre’s crane-lifted composters are convenient, easy to install and manage, with no need for cleaning or complex maintenance. Their quick emptying system allows efficient handling, requiring on average only one collection per month.

Designed for durability and hygiene, they generate no rodents, no odors, and no leachate while processing up to 5 tons of fresh input per composter per year. Thanks to integrated aeration, waste begins its decomposition process under optimal conditions, ensuring quality compost production.

Fully compatible with organic farming practices, they offer a robust, sustainable, and user-friendly solution for on-site food waste management.

Integrated and external wood chip reserves

To facilitate the composting process, Complementerre offers both built-in and external reserves for shredded wood. These reserves make it easier for users to add the necessary structuring material, ensuring proper aeration, avoiding nuisances such as odors or flies, and last but not least, making the decay process begin.

The reserves are available in fixed, craneable, or integrated versions depending on site configuration.

Chip Blower

Complementerre’s wood chip blower is a practical solution to streamline the delivery of shredded material for craneable or collective composters and green space management. It reduces labour, saves time for field teams, lowers operating costs, and optimises the logistics of shared composting and green space maintenance.
