GL BIOCONTROL

GL BIOCONTROL

#Microbiology #DrinkingWaterQuality #WaterSafetyPlans #ATP-Metry #RapidTest #BacteriaLoadScreening

ABOUT US :

GL Biocontrol develops innovative microbiological monitoring kits that help water utilities, laboratories, and industrial operators ensure safe and high-quality drinking water. With over ten years of experience in rapid microbiological diagnostics, we design next-generation ATP-metry tests that support fast, reliable decisions directly in the field or in the lab.

Our core solution is a highly sensitive ATP rapid test specifically optimized for drinking water. By filtering a large 50 ml sample, the method provides the sensitivity needed for low-biomass waters and offers an immediate, clear view of microbial activity across treatment plants, storage zones, and distribution networks.

More than 600 public municipalities across Europe, as well as major private water operators, use our ATP-metry technology for routine monitoring and rapid troubleshooting. Its fast adoption demonstrates its reliability and operational value for day-to-day water-quality management.

Results are delivered in just a few minutes, enabling teams to act quickly without waiting for culture-based methods. This supports faster diagnostics, more responsive operations, and earlier detection of changes in the network.

Our rapid tests are supported by a dedicated mobile application that guides operators step-by-step, secures data, and generates standardized reports. The app also includes features for Water Safety Plans (WSPs), helping users document hazards, monitor control measures, and track microbiological trends with consistent traceability.

By combining high-sensitivity ATP detection, practical field workflows, and intuitive digital tools, our solution provides a modern alternative to traditional microbiological methods. We will be pleased to offer on-site demonstrations during the event, allowing visitors to discover the technology firsthand and experience how it can support operational control, compliance, and the delivery of safe drinking water.

The complete ATP test kit comes in a compact field case containing a luminometer, filters, syringes, water sampling containers, a tube holder and reagent. All essentials are included to perform a full test in less than 3 minutes directly in the field or in the laboratory.

Our test protocol is designed for simplicity and can be performed directly in the field, even by operators without laboratory experience. The workflow starts with collecting a 50 ml water sample in a syringe. The sample is then filtered to capture the microorganisms on the filter. A reagent is added to release the ATP, and the resulting extract is transferred into our Lumitube for measurement with the luminometer. A standard is included to verify the reaction and ensure accurate quantification. All reagents can be stored for one year in the refrigerator or for three months at room temperature.

Our ATP kit includes a mobile app that makes reporting ATP test results easy, whether in the field or in the laboratory. It also provides automated result interpretation and records key drinking-water parameters such as chlorine, temperature, turbidity, etc. Over time, it offers a clear view of trends and control points, making it an ideal tool to support drinking-water network quality monitoring within “Water Safety Plans”.

NEW INNOVATION

Our kit and mobile app provide a modern way to monitor drinking-water quality, from the catchment area all the way to the tap. This innovation was first introduced in France and is now available across the rest of Europe.

F-REG

F-REG

#sewage #flooding #pollution #sewagenetwork #innovation #ecofriendly

ABOUT US :

F-Reg solutions are designed to combat flooding and waste discharge in cities caused by overflowing sewage systems during heavy rainfall. As a result of new waterproofing and climate change, wastewater and rainwater collection networks are now often undersized in historic areas. As a result, they tend to saturate and overflow with effluent during rainfall, causing urban flooding and, above all, frequent pollution that degrades the biodiversity of our natural environments. Every year in Europe, flooding’s causes million worth damage (13 Billion €/year in Europe) and our cities are dealing with important risks of pollutions caused by these flooding’s. The authorities are often trying to compensate these problems with large and expensive retention tanks. To counter these phenomena, F-Reg has patented a solution that turns our networks into regulating bodies by mobilizing water collection pipes for storage, thus smoothing the devastating peak flows generated by storms and preventing overflows. Today, F-Reg markets a range of solutions to meet the different needs of local authorities: stand-alone hydrodynamic valves, hydrodynamic regulating-controlled flow valves, tilting weirs, macro-waste traps and more. The company is involved in projects from A to Z: from the study to analyze project needs (eligibility, sizing, location) through its engineering and design department, to custom 3D design, material manufacturing and finally installation of the solutions. The solutions created by F-Reg not only save local authorities money, but also help them make a commitment to the environment. In fact, the valves designed by F-Reg’s teams are much less expensive to install than rainwater retention basins and require no land. Installation is therefore much simpler, quicker, more eco-friendly, and more sustainable. F-reg solutions also improve the carbon footprint compared with the installation of a retention basin.

The flovalv, a solution patented by F-Reg, uses sewer pipes as a storage area to regulate peak flows of stormwater and thus limit the damage caused by overflows. F-Reg solutions therefore represent an economic and environmental challenge for local authorities. Economical, because our solutions are much less costly than the creation of retention tanks and the purchase of land, and environmental, because they help reduce urban flooding and the discharge of waste into natural landscapes.

It is controlled by the water height at upstream which generates the necessary force on the pneumatic cylinders, afterwards generates the opening. The water pressure drives the valve and controls its flow, without electricity or supervision. Very economic and requires little maintenance.

When it rains, the garbage on the ground in our streets is often carried into our stormwater systems by runoff, and is therefore very likely to end up directly in our rivers, seas and oceans.

To further protect the environment, F-Reg has also developed solutions to combat the discharge of macro-waste into the natural environment. The macro-waste trap is a simple solution placed in the sewer system or in an outfall, and is equipped with a net to capture all the pollutants that can circulate in sewer systems (wipes, cigarette butts, plastics, etc.). Our traps incorporate hydraulic intelligence (overflow, for example) to prevent overloading in the event of net clogging.

F-Reg also intervenes upstream, before waste enters the sewer system, to limit the impact on the natural environment.

Our latest range of solutions consists of anti-waste baskets that can be placed directly in roadway drains to capture waste before it reaches the stormwater networks. These baskets, made of stainless steel or aluminum, are custom-designed to fit any type of downspout.
