ABOUT US :

ECODAS designs, manufactures and supplies automated solutions for medical waste treatment worldwide. We have developed an innovative, fully enclosed and automated system to sterilize medical waste, reduce its volume, and render its components unrecognizable. Our patented process combines shredding, direct heated steam, and high pressure to achieve complete sterilization of infectious materials. The final treated waste is harmless and safe to dispose of as ordinary municipal waste or to be recycled.

For more than 30 years, the ECODAS team has developed a wide expertise in pressurized thermal machine manufacturing for the textile, food processing and medical waste industries, providing high value solutions based on advanced technologies.

ECODAS, based in Roubaix (near Lille) in the north of France, is managed by Mr SQUALLI (president & CEO).

ECODAS process has been tested by Pasteur Institute of Lille and approved by the Higher Council of Public Health of France since 1994, under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of the Environment.
ECODAS systems are designed and manufactured in accordance with the followings norms: ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers), PLSE (China), CE (European Directives), MHLW (Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare), and GOSSTANDART (Russia).
The Quality assurance of ECODAS systems is executed following ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015 standards.

The ECODAS process is particularly suitable for in situ treatment as well as for central treatment plant.

On-site treatment is highly recommended during epidemics or pandemics of the following types: SARS, Ebola, H1N1, Coronavirus.

The steam sterilization parameters at 138°C are recognized for their effectiveness against the most resistant bacteria and the most virulent viruses.

Today, we are leader in the infectious waste (hospital, animal waste, food industry, pharmaceutical, seaport and airport waste) non-burned treatment market in France as well as in Europe, in America, Africa and Asia.

Our international activities represent more than 80 % of our turnover.

We are present via our distributors in the following countries:
Albania, Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh, Bosnia Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, the Caribbean, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Ecuador, Egypt, , Estonia, French Polynesia, Ghana, Greece, Honduras, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambic, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestine, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Qatar, Rumania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Sudan, Sultanate of Oman, Sweden, Syria, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, UK, Ukraine, USA, Venezuela, Vietnam…

We have more than 700 ECODAS systems installed in 100 countries.

The ECODAS T100 offers a treatment capacity of 100L per 30min average cycle time.

The contaminated waste is loaded into the upper chamber where a heavy-duty, high-torque, low speed shredder reduces the waste into small pieces.

Using gravity, the processed material drop into the lower treatment chamber, where every particle is steam heated to 138°C and pressurized to 3,5 bar for 10 minutes. The operating and treatment conditions are continuously monitored and validated to achieve complete sterilization (Microbial inactivation = 108).

After the cooling process, the final product is volume-reduced (by up to 80 %), rendered unreusable and safe to recycle or to dispose as ordinary municipal waste.

The ECODAS T300 offers a treatment capacity of 350L per 30min average cycle time.

The contaminated waste is loaded into the upper chamber where a heavy-duty, high-torque, low speed shredder reduces the waste into small pieces.

After the cooling process, the final product is volume-reduced (by up to 80 %), rendered unreusable and safe to recycle or to dispose as ordinary municipal waste.

The ECODAS T2000 offers a treatment capacity of 2500L per 45min average cycle time.

OUR ECO-RESPONSIBLE COMMITMENTS

The Quality assurance of ECODAS systems is executed following ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015 standards.
The ECODAS technology is recognized and recommended by WHO, UN, UNDP, UNICEF, World Bank, Global Fund,…

NEW INNOVATION

The ECODAS technology offers the advantage of being all-in-one, with no intermediate handling of the infectious waste during the treatment cycle and thus preventing any danger to operators. The different models (6) allow for on-site installation, reducing transport-related pollution. Our process is environmentally friendly, economical, and easy to use. It produces no fumes, therefore no atmospheric emissions or toxic effluents, as the treatment is carried out using steam without the addition of any chemicals. Since its early beginning, ECODAS advocates and emphasizes the fundamental principle of its solution: Zero toxic emissions unlike incineration and burning technologies.

Gradually ECODAS has forged a network of reliable and loyal distributors and partners providing turnkey projects that include project planning, installation, commissioning, training, maintenance, tele maintenance, and ultimately the all-inclusive operation of its Systems.

The reliability of our products, our « Made in France » expertise, and our excellent reputation contribute to our company’s international success. We have over 700 machines installed worldwide, with a presence in 100 countries.

Today, we are leader in the infectious waste (hospital, animal waste, food industry, pharmaceutical, seaport and airport waste) non-burned treatment market worldwide.
ECODAS offers six (6) machine models with different treatment capacities from 100 liters to 2500 liters/ cycle.
