about us :

Specializing in the design and production of subassemblies for industry, the origins of FOTIA DMT date back to 1926 with its expertise in industrial maintenance. In 1950, the company developed its subassemblies activity for the textile industry and in 2013, a new group of specialized engineers joined the company, strengthening its team.
 
FOTIA DMT supports you from design to start-up: thanks to its internal design office, the company provides you with a single point of contact for the entire project.     UCMTF is the trade association grouping the French Textile Equipment Manufacturers. UCMTF’s members are particularly strong in long fibre spinning (wool, acrylic …), yarn twisting and control (including technical yarns), space-dyeing, heat setting for carpet yarns, carpet systems, dyeing and finishing, felts and belts for finishing processes, nonwovens, air conditioning of textile plants, and recycling processes of textile materials. Their total annual consolidated turnover is close to 1 billion Euros. Most of the turnover is exported to Asia, EMEA and the Americas. Innovation and service are embedded in the DNA of UCMTF’s members; they are long term technology partners of their customers. Most of them are small or medium-sized companies, focused on specialty equipments which can be custom made to help the customers develop new products, produce them in sustainable and secure industrial processes.     Europe remains the major textile equipment cutting-edge, innovative centre in the world.       Based on the expertise and 20 years experience, confirmed by feedback from a pilot decorticating line, HEMP-ACT is launching in 2024 its HD1300TEXTILE_00, a pre-production decorticating line.

      This 2in1 decorticating and hackling line is designed to process :
      >1 ton/hour of input hemp straw
      >in a combed sliver of long or half-long textile hemp fibers for dry or wet spinning, or UD/roving production
      >or short fibers to supply openend spinning mills after cottonization, and the nonwoven industry.

      Associated with research laboratories, we confirmed in 2023 that our technologies provide a real breakthrough innovation which offers, for a much lower investment, the production of high added value for bast fibers both on fashion & biocomposites reinforcement markets.

      With a price divided by 2 compared to benchmark fibres, our clients will boost industries such as automotive, outdoor and housing sectors to massively use natural & sustainable fibers.

      Our lines process also other bast fibres and by-products like oilseed flax, scutched tows…
      More surprisingly, our latest experimental works showed that our technologies may valorize bioresources that have until now been neglected or poorly exploited, invasive plants or those from marginal lands : typha, water hyacinth, spanish broom, nettle.
