Enabling Inhaled Biologics for Respiratory Diseases

Despite a growing number of approved monoclonal antibodies targeting respiratory diseases, none are delivered by inhalation. All are administered systemically, restricting access to the most severe patients and requiring high doses with significant side effects. Inhalation could unlock lower doses and broader patient populations – but nebulization damages antibodies, and no validated solution currently exists.

SoteriaBio is a French pre-clinical stage biotech company developing a proprietary technology platform enabling the inhaled delivery of monoclonal antibodies for respiratory diseases. Backed $4M in equity seed funding and grants, SoteriaBio has demonstrated in vivo proof of concept showing complete lung distribution, significantly higher local concentration versus systemic injection, and therapeutic efficacy in preclinical asthma and COVID models.

SoteriaBio is actively seeking partnerships with companies developing or commercializing monoclonal antibodies for respiratory diseases, as well as opportunities to build its own inhaled biologic pipeline.

Originating from MedXCell SA (a Swiss Venture Builder) and academic collaborations with EPFL and ICGM/CNRS, SoteriaBio is led by Anh Nguyen, founder of MedinCell (EURONEXT: MEDCL). The company operates in Montpellier (France) and Montreux (Switzerland).

Your partner in Medicinal Chemistry and Life Sciences R&D

Many programs begin with strong biological findings but struggle to translate early hits, fragments, or tool compounds into viable lead candidates. This is often due to limited medicinal chemistry resources and insufficient insight into the challenges of advancing a lead toward a drug candidate and generating the data required to secure seed funding.

Oxeltis address this by:
• Seamless integration of in silico design (CADD, SBDD, LBDD, AI/ML) with high-quality synthesis, in partnership with Molecular Forecaster (Montreal) and Assay development/in vitro biological screening in partnership with Partex.AI.Labs
• Rapid hit-to-lead and lead optimization, with a track record of delivering high-quality compounds efficiently and a highly skill team of chemists (50% Ph.D., 50% M.Sc.)
• Expertise in complex and enabling chemistries, supported by our hybrid SFC platform for rapid purification and scale-up (up to 25g/day) of chiral/achiral mixtures.
• Comprehensive biological services, including assay design, in vitro screening, and early pharmacology profiling, integrated with chemistry to accelerate DMTA cycles and decision-making.

Redefining Treatment Through Synergy

Enemsa Pharma is a drug discovery company developing high‑impact combination therapies for intractable neurodegenerative and cardiopulmonary diseases—where monotherapies have failed. Inspired by breakthrough successes in oncology and infectious diseases, they target the untapped potential of multi‑mechanism approaches in complex disorders. Their strategy centers on modulating the Integrated Stress Response (ISR), a core cellular survival pathway implicated in many diseases.

Enemsa Pharma’s lead asset, icerguastat, is a clinically validated ISR modulator with Phase 1 completed. By sustaining the protective stress response, icerguastat prevents stress‑induced cell death and serves as a de‑risked backbone for first‑ or best‑in‑class synergistic combinations with approved or standard‑of‑care therapies. Their lead ongoing development program is icerguastat + ambroxol for Parkinson’s disease patients carrying GBA1 mutations, the most common genetic form of PD. This platform unlocks new IP, accelerates partnering, and aims to deliver transformative outcomes for patients with the highest unmet medical needs.

Enhancing the transport of therapeutic and imaging agents using a versatile and flexible targeting technology

The VECTrans® technology exploits specific receptors selected for their high uptake/endocytosis and constitutive recycling capacity, thereby allowing significant intracellular transport and accumulation of therapeutic or imaging agents. Once the vector moiety of a vector-payload complex is locked onto the appropriate receptor at the surface of BBB endothelial cells, cancer cells or any target cell type expressing such receptors, the vector-payload complex undergoes rapid internalisation and subsequent intra/transcellular trafficking. This ultimately leads to payload delivery into cells and across the BBB into the brain via transport and transcytosis processes respectively thus modifying pharmacokinetic (PK) and distribution profile of therapeutic or imaging candidates.
