#SmartTextile #Ribbon #Strap #Braids #TechnicalRibbon #Industry

about us :

Since 1905, Satab has been a leading French company in the narrow textiles market. It stands out for its innovative spirit and its ability to design and manufacture products such as ribbons, straps, braids and mesh, both rigid and elastic. All its production takes place in France, in the Haute-Loire to be precise, and is distributed on all 5 continents.

What makes Satab unique is its combination of traditional craftsmanship and industrial know-how. On the one hand, the company has the largest fleet of traditional looms in the world, with 65 “shuttle” looms, enabling it to supply top-of-the-range narrow textiles with high added value. On the other hand, it has state-of-the-art production facilities, with more than 300 modern needle looms, giving it a production capacity of 10 million meters per week.

Satab also has its own research and development department, the Satab’Lab. This innovation laboratory, covering an area of almost 1,000 m2, brings together more than 30 people working together to meet the needs of customers in all sectors.
Satab’Lab’s aim is to constantly innovate and be at the cutting edge of new technologies and trends. It is in this vein that Eweave was born, a smart textile solution with several functionalities:
– detection and geolocation of leaks, cuts, shocks
– ON/OFF switch, data transfer, electrical conductivity
– lighting

about us :

IMATTEC is a French technical spinning company based in the north of France, specializing among other skills, in long-fiber spinning. From raw material to fabrics, our spinning mill develops and produces high-performance technical textiles based on advanced materials (metals, PTFE, aramid, Vectran, polyacrylate IMAT’Fire, PVA, PBO Zylon…) and multiple structures (fibers, single yarns, plied yarns, Multifil, monofil, covered, woven, knitted, fabric,  felts, nonwoven…), not hesitating to think outside the box to meet your specific requirements.

Our company has ISO9001 certification for conception and production. We are able to meet a wide range of requirements : anti-cutting properties, abrasion resistance, anti-perforation, anti-vandalism, cryogenic cold and fire resistance, thermal insulation or thermal transfer, UV resistance and much more.

The R&D department adapts to each request, the aim being to meet the needs of each customer. Knitting, dyeing, cutting services, weaving, braiding, IMATTEC develops your custom yarns and fabrics.

Our current fields of application of our technical textile are vast, covering PPE (personal protective equipment), industry (glass, metal, energy…), sports, filtration, aerospace, defense, automotive, etc. We are involved in a number of regional, national and European collaborative projects in a wide variety of fields, including healthcare, construction, defense, aeronautics and e-textiles / smart textiles…

We produce a wide range of yarns, which we are able to knit, particularly in stainless steel, which offers high conductivity and excellent resistance to high temperatures(800°),making it very popular in many fields (glassmaking, sensors, composites).

Aramid fibers are extremely strong and resistant. They have no melting point and are used for their heat resistance (200-250°C). Its many qualities have led to its use in technical textiles (PPE, sports, bullet-proof vests, cut-resistant gloves).

IMATTEC’s aim is to meet all customer requirements, whatever the properties or materials required. We can spin or knit any technical material to meet your needs. From fiber to finished product, IMATTEC is with you every step of the way.
