Sofila is a recognized expert in yarn preparation for over 130 years: throwing, twisting, doubling, covering, texturization…Its historical know-how has been transmitted over the years since its start in 1894, and keeps on improving over time to the benefit of our customers. The company has regrouped over the years the most famous names of throwing in Lyon area, to become one of the leader in its activity.

Sofila’s yarns are designed to correspond to the needs of a wide range of business areas : technical fabrics, medical fabrics, lace, sportswear, garments, labelling, furnishing fabrics …

We constantly innovate including in co-development with our customers. The company has an internal yarn analysis laboratory, an extensive quality process, and a skilled R&D team.

We are able to create yarns from 10 to 3000 dTex :
