Specialized in thermal insulation of materials and men protection, SULITEC offers a complete line of products.
Focused in developing thermal insulating materials for specialized markets, in order to overcome the progressive disappearance of ceramics and asbestos and to generate energy savings in industrial processes, SULITEC exclusively utilizes non-classified fibres. It transforms fibres and technical fabrics into complex textiles and composites. Over 20% of its revenue is devoted to R&D.
SULITEC integrated in 2009 a formulation department, which enabled the group to reinforce its position on the mineral and refractory resin base insulating composites manufacturing. Due to its intern formulation developments, SULITEC manufactures stratified glass or silica fibres panels with high temperature resins (up to 1200°C).
In 2020, SULITEC acquires “Filature du Valgaudemar” (one of the last French spinning) and in 2021 joined the OUVRY GROUP and strengthens its positions in the world of defense and security.
A special attention to customers’needs and its internal R&D department allows the creation of customized products specially and personalized fire tests and characterization on request according to specifications.
The development projects of SULITEC are applied to different activity sectors such as steel, naval, aeronautics, automobile, petrochemical, nuclear industry and military.
REFRATEX® : complexes with very high mechanical resistance made from mineral fiber layers with low bio-persistence or silica felt, needle-and-thread between two fabrics (glass, silica, etc.).
REFRASTRAT® : 100% mineral composite laminates up to 1600°C. It provide excellent mechanical and firestopping properties up to 1100°C peak.
SULIMAT ®: The products range includes a variety of non-woven fabrics (needled cardboard) made from high temperature mineral fibres (glass, silica, basalt, etc.).
