THINK SMARTGRIDS

#smartgrids #association #flexibility #france #optimization

Chi siamo:

WATT & WELL

WATT & WELL

#evcharging #V2G #emobility #energystorage #powerelectronics #microgrids

about us :

Watt & Well converts power into confidence since 2008.

As a power electronics equipment provider, Watt & Well goal is to deliver the perfect product both in performance and quality. Watt & Well develops solutions combining the know-how of new technology with the reliability of the product in severe environments (high temperature, vibrations, EMC, cosmic radiation, pressure). Our cross-market experience sets us as a reference in the world of power electronics and power conversion.

In particular, Watt & Well is designing and manufacturing power electronics solutions for electric mobility, energy and smart-grids. The company product range includes high voltage power supplies, DC modules for EV chargers (including fast-chargers and bidirectional V2G charger) and CCS/Combo charging controllers.

Our Objective is to accelerate in the market for EV charging. This market will be disrupted by 2025, as the EV charger will become smarter with the emergence of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology. As a pioneer in V2G technology, we have built a strong network across the V2G value chain and propose unique engineering services to boost our customers’ EV expansion. Watt & Well has the facilities to design, test and manufacture highly technological products in Europe (two locations in France) and North America (U.S. subsidiary).

Our Strategy is to position ourselves as equipment manufacturer for EV chargers (Tier 1). Therefore, we do not build the charging point (EVSE) itself in order to not compete with our clients.

We position ourselves at the 2nd stage of the value chain. In doing so, we focus on providing highly technological power conversion and communication modules.

Designed for smart grid applications, BMPU-R2-500-32 is a modular grid-tied inverter capable of bidirectional conversion between AC (grid) and DC (EV battery). It is also available as DC-DC converter for DC micro grids applications. Its innovative four-phase design enables operation in three-phase 16A (with or without neutral) or single phase 32A.

EVI is a Supply Equipment Communication Controller (SECC) with dual EV charging standard support: CCS/Combo and CHAdeMO. A powerful processor runs the EV communications stack and other demanding applications (e.g., OCPP, and EVSE master).

SWEETCH ENERGY

#energy #osmotic energy #renewable #cleantech #deeptech

about us :

In 2050, osmotic electricity will represent 15% of our global energy mix.

Sweetch Energy was created in 2015 to tackle climate change by expanding the frontiers of renewable energy with osmotic power, a massively available energy resource naturally liberated when fresh river water and seawater meet. Supported by leading investors and major industrial partners, Sweetch Energy has developed INOD®, the first osmotic power technology able to generate permanent, carbon-free and cost-effective electricity.

We are privileged to benefit from the support of renowned European and French institutions. In 2023 we proudly received numerous awards, including the international deep-tech Grand Prize of the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge.

A global première in the renewable energy landscape.

In 2024, the first osmotic power station implementing the INOD® technology on an industrial scale will be launched.

Located on the Barcarin lock in Port Saint Louis (France), up to 500 MW of power will be gradually installed and distributed along the Rhône over the next decade. This represents carbon-free electricity for over 1.5 million people, the equivalent of the populations of Marseille, Barcelona, Amsterdam or Montreal.

A ground-breaking technology

The INOD® technology, developed by Sweetch Energy, uses a newly discovered physical phenomenon, ionic nano-osmotic diffusion, to generate ionic currents through its revolutionary membranes.

Hundreds of INOD® membranes are stacked in osmotic generators and coupled with electrodes to capture blue energy. Cost-efficient and modular, these generators also have unprecedented power outputs which makes harnessing the clean, permanent, and unscathed energy that is osmotic power possible.
