CGP EUROPE

CGP EUROPE

about us :

CGP is the world leader in manufacturing and developing thermoplastic plug assist materials for thermoforming.

We produce a complete line of high quality, innovative thermoplastic syntactic materials used in the thermoforming industry.
CGP offers custom casting and cutting services to customers and continues to work with plastic suppliers, university research centers and software simulation companies to develop products that meet and advance the needs of the thermoforming industry.

With 20 years of expertise in materials development and use of syntactic foam, we support customers projects to give them cost effective solutions. We have a large experience with:
10 years of Exclusive sales and development of Hytac for Europe with CMT Materials
10 years of Production and Sales development of OptiForm for Europe, Asia and America

OptiForm is a plug assist family of materials which combines the toughness of engineering thermoplastics with the low thermal conductivity of a syntactic foam. Our plug assists will resist the chips and dings associated with production abuse while reducing mark-off and sticking of difficult to process polymers. Our material maintains the high thermal stability required to process todays thermoformed polymers. In addition, OptiForm Materials eliminates the machining difficulties of conventional syntactic foams. It is also the only range of plug assist materials in the market that is recyclable.

OptiForm B2X – Most durable Plug assist material for thermoforming mold

OptiForm B2X is a plug assist material for thermoforming molds. It is the new generation of B1X made in France. The formulation has been improved for easier polishing. OptiForm B2X combines the toughness of engineering thermoplastics with the low thermal conductivity of a syntactic foam.

It is the toughest and the most durable OptiForm plug assist material.

Pre-stretch plugs made of OptiForm B2X are very smooth with possibility to machine very fine details.

OptiForm materials are DUST FREE during machining, finishing, and cutting.

OPTIFORM® SLX – The smoothest thermofoming plug assist material

OptiForm® SLX is the next generation of FLX replaced by a new copolymer thermoplastic material made in Europe.

CGP has followed the growing demand from customers who complained about dust and brittleness when machining and cutting old generations of epoxy syntactic foams. It has been designed for PET thermoforming molds.

OptiForm FXT – Plug assist material for thermoforming mold with Teflon

OptiForm FXT is a plug assist material for thermoforming molds. It has been designed for thermoforming multilayer film. It is a very famous material used in FFS thermoforming machine.

Plug assists made of OptiForm FXT are very smooth. OptiForm FXT eliminates machining dust and increase the toughness in comparison with standard syntactic material.

OptiForm FXT has the lowest coeficient of friction of the OptiForm materials. It helps reducing marks wich is often critical when thermoforming multilayer plastics.

Quickly evaluate and compare the performance of 3D printed conformal cooling inserts against conventional machined inserts.

SimForm is the plastic mold simulation software that makes mold cooling easy

What if SimForm could recommend where to put water in your mold?
Based on our interviews, having a tool which automatically recommends the location of cooling lines has major benefits: Reduce design/engineering effort and cost (spend less time guessing where to put water); Reduce impact of experts retiring (compensates for gaps in experience as new hires are onboarded); Improve mold performance and profitability (improves part quality and reduces cycle time); Accelerate time to market (reduce engineering lead time)
