GRENOBLE ALPES METROPOLE

GRENOBLE ALPES METROPOLE

#Metropole #Innovation #Pionnier #Transitions #Experiment #SME’sSupport

about us :

Located in the South-East of France, in the heart of the Alps, Grenoble-Alpes Métropole is a local authority covering 49 municipalities and nearly 450,000 inhabitants. It is in charge of many public policies and services that are crucial for territorial transitions : urban planning, mobility, energy, waste management, water, social housing, environment, economic development and technology transfer.

The territory’s acute environmental awareness led to the adoption of the first French Climate, Air, Energy territorial roadmap, in 2005. The great concentration of laboratories of both private and public sectors in industries that are key to smart city development (digital industry, energy, environment, healthtech) also benefits the ecosystem on transition issues. Long term commitment of the territory in the field of transitions were rewarded this year by the choice of Grenoble as 2022 European Green Capital.

Grenoble-Alpes-Métropole is thus experimenting and implementing smart and innovative solutions for the reduction of green house gases, climate adaptation, the use of sustainable buildings and transportation means, the preservation of nature and biodiversity, innovation in environmental practices, the improvement of air quality, the reduction of noise, and the implementation of better waste and water management.

GAM Territory

Between the Chartreuse, Vercors, Belledonne and Taillefer mountains, Grenoble Alpes boasts an unrivaled living environment. The region’s natural parks boast an exceptional ecological and landscape richness, accessible from the heart of the city.

GAM research

Grenoble’s long-term investment in science has paid off: today, the city has become synonymous with innovation. A rich network of science & technology research centers has developed around a handful of internationally-acclaimed large science facilities

about us :

Tenevia is a pionnier in hydrometry by image analysis for ten years.

TENEVIA is developing and commercializing digital solutions powered by IOT and AI for environnemental monitoring and forecasting. Our smart camera-based sensors produce valuable data which can be combined with advanced models for informed decision making. Measurements and predictions are integrated to existing information systems or associated to TENEVIA’s efficient supervision and alarm services. This range of solutions is particularly suited for the management of water related hazards (floods, drought, pollution). TENEVIA pioneered innovative solutions and became a leader for the monitoring of river flows. Our products and services are helping smart cities and critical infrastructure stakeholders to cope with the consequences of climate change. The provided analytics are also supporting adaptation and resilience in renewable energy forecasting and natural ressources management.

TENEVIA CamLevel® provides water level information. CamLevel is a smart camera without water contact, suitable for measuring and monitoring both calm water bodies and turbulent torrential flows.

TENEVIA CamFlow® allows to measure surface velocities and to calculate the flow rate of a free surface flow. The height measurement used for the flow calculation is obtained by image analysis or another sensor installed on site.

Early detection of water pollution hazards.

#Particles #Pollens #Pollution #RealTime #Alert #Decision-Support

about us :

Imaging particles in the air to prevent associated risks.

ŌBERON is a technology company born of public laboratories in the field of atmospheric sciences. The patented Aerotape device has been developed and is manufactured by ŌBERON in Grenoble, in the French Alps. It consists in a sensor that uses imaging and AI to characterize in real time the different types of particles in the air: pollen, mold, mineral dust, abrasion particles, ash, etc. As it collects particles on a time-stamped tape, samples can also be read back offline, just like images from a security camera, for quality control or research purposes.

ŌBERON’s 10-people team transforms this unprecedented data into tools for prevention or decision support in ecological transition markets.

ŌBERON is a commercial player in pollen monitoring and related services in France and abroad. Aerotape also reports unprecedented information on the industrial emissions market, enabling sources to be identified and located. The versatility of Aerotape measurements allows one sensor to be simultanously used for both applications.

Pollen allergies affect one in three people. Local authorities play a key role in prevention, which in turn enhances your area attractiveness. We provide you with qualified data to inform & advice your fellow citizens and local healthcare providers.

While prevention is dedicated to the citizens, data are simultaneously produced for the authorities to manage the pollen/biodiversity issue: which species, geographical origin of allergenic pollens, assessment of health-environment decisions, etc.

Children doing what children do, experiencing and learning in a playful and complicit way.Air particles tracks other issues. Pollen & molds trace biodiversity and allergy risk. Mineral dust informs on how sources like sandstorms, road dust incl. abrasion, industrial emissions, etc. affect PM10 levels ; thus which decisions to prioritize.

about us :

Crisalid permits to the public authorities such as Grenoble Alpes metropole to become the first hub dedicated to companies working on polluted sites and soils as well as brownfield redevelopment  considering biodiversity, sanitary and socio ecosystemic challenges. Crisalid is part of the AURA regional program called “IDfriches” which demonstrated the necessity for innovation and demonstration in the field.

Crisalid proposes an innovative service offer focusing on brownfield redevelopment, soil services restorations, citizen sciences  and biodiversity preservation : 1 R&D: Innovation and citizen science with schools and public authorities (academic and private transfer and collaborations); 2: Analytic expertise on innovations; 3: brownfield rehabilitation training for the public authorities; 4: innovative expertise to the public authorities related to brownfield; 5; incubator of start-ups and companies; 6; Expanding the Living Lab with new lighthouses and creating a network of Living Labs dedicated to brownfields and soil quality in Europe..

The first lighthouse of this living lab is located on an experimental brownfield site in Le Pont de Claix (France) and focuses on training students in new technologies for brownfield management and research and development of bio-indicators and nature-based solutions.

For brownfield management and ecological restoration, CRISALID develop new methodologies to assess and coupling ecotoxicological risk assessment, agropedological assessment and human health risk assessment.

The aim is to train students, local authority staff and elected representatives in the regeneration of brownfield sites so that they can benefit from innovation and understand how to restore ecosystem services.
