Water pollution is everywhere and is damaging the environment, health conditions and the global economy.  

This results in the destruction of biodiversity, contamination of the food chain, lack of potable drinking water, and diseases. The WHO estimates that about 2 billion people have no option but to drink contaminated water.  

The current approach by chemical analysis is intermittent, partial and doesn’t allow conclusions to be drawn on water quality. 

MolluSCAN-eye is a bio-monitoring system that works 24/7 using connected molluscs like oysters or mussels and provides a continuous measurement of water quality through a multi-parameter animal health assessment.
