about us :

Orange Marine, subsidiary of the Orange Group, is a cable ship owner specialized in offshore work on submarine cables, from designing and engineering new projects to installing new connections and maintaining existing cables (telecommunications, energy, or hybrid).

Orange Marine can operate worldwide and for any type of customer: telecom operators, cable manufacturers, GAFAM, offshore wind farm operators, Oil and gas compagnies etc.

Its expertise is internationally recognized, allowing it to occupy an important place in the world at a time when submarine cables, which are becoming more and more efficient, are of strategic importance for the world economy and are being deployed in every sea and ocean.

With its Italian sister company, Elettra Tlc, Orange Marine has a fleet of 6 cable ships and 1 survey ship, representing almost 15% of the submarine installation and maintenance market.

At the end of 2023, Orange Marine’s ships had installed over 278,000 kilometers of fiber optic submarine cables and had carried out over 800 repairs, some at depths of over 6,000 meters.

In addition, Orange Marine designs, builds, and operates a full range of submarine vehicles for work on submarine cables (ROV – Remotely Operated Vehicles, plows, trenchers, crawlers) capable of trench and inspect any type of cable.

In 2023, the Sophie Germain, the new modern, efficient and eco-friendly cable ship, designed with a high focus on station keeping performances and low fuel consumption joined the Orange Marine fleet specifically for the repair of different types of submarine cables, either fiber optic telecommunications cables or Wind Farms Intra-array power cables.

Power cable installation:

Orange Marine provides new offers on lead markets, such as offshore and renewable energies. Relying on decades of expertise, Orange Marine can provide comprehensive offers, from desktop studies to installation and maintenance operations.

Orange Marine’s vessels tailored for power cable market are CLV Pierre De Fermat which is equipped with power cable coiling arm and CLV Sophie Germain which is equipped with power cable lay spread (carousel).

Those two assets are tailored for inter array cables installation and maintenance.

Cable Trenching and survey :

Using its own range ROV and trenchers, Orange Marine can propose a powerful and efficient solution to trench the intra array and export cables up to 3 meters trenching depth including post and pre survey with a full instrumentation package.

Those activities can be proposed onboard orange Marine vessel, opportunity vessel or onboard our customer’s vessel.

Survey and cable routing:

Using, the Urbino Monti, the new dedicated ship of its subsidiary Elettra tlc, Orange Marine can perform marine surveys of new submarine cable routes.

Once defined the theoretical route, Orange Marine charters a ship equipped with sonar and sounders to map it. The marine survey is a geophysical and geotechnical study, conducted along the route. It aims at confirming the choice of the route or correcting it if need be. In case of burial, the marine survey also provides a burial assessment study.
Orange Marine oversees the survey servicing and provides the customer with real-time route engineering service based on the survey’s information.

#O&M #supervision #engineering #offshore #comissioning

about us :

Founded in 2011, VALEMO (subsidiary of VALOREM) is specialized in operation, maintenance and supervision of renewable energy farms. VALEMO offers operation (performance monitoring), supervision (365/24/7 monitoring of assets), maintenance and engineering services and has set up a Marine Coordination service for the supervision of maritime activities during the construction and operation phases of offshore wind farms. With 130 employees, VALEMO currently monitors 66 renewable energy parks, representing approximately 1GW, in France and internationally.

Operation of HV substations

With more than 10 years of experience in the control, operation and maintenance of high voltage (HTA) substations, VALEMO has launched in 2021 its activity of supervision and operation of very high voltage (HTB) substations.

In this respect, VALEMO’s remote control center is equipped with secure communication infrastructures with RTE (SAS/STS) and its organisation is strengthened with operators on shift on a 24/7/365 basis (5×8 operation).

Offshore wind O&M services

Since 2016, VALEMO has developed a business unit dedicated to O&M services for offshore wind.

Our team of 20+ technicians are fully GWO trained and qualified to perform offshore operations on WTGs and OSS. The operational team is supported by a highly experienced team of staff, project managers, HSE advisor and engineering experts.

Our team has been mobilized in 2022 to perform quality inspections, commissioning, preventive/corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on the 480MW offshore wind farm of Saint-Nazaire (1st French offshore wind farm).

Lidar

Since 2016, VALEMO has developed a state-of-the-art solution to optimise the performance of wind turbines using a LIDAR system.

Placed on the wind turbine nacelle, the LIDAR is an optical radar that allows wind measurement campaigns, undisturbed by the rotation of the blades.

With this measurement, it is possible to control the alignment of the nacelles and substantially optimise energy production.

  • 55 campaigns carried out.
  • 31 wind turbines with a misalignment > 5°.
  • Optimization of more than 2.5% of the energy production on the 31 misaligned wind turbines.

To carry out its campaigns, VALEMO has joined forces with the recognised skills of the French company EPSILINE, which markets the YawAdvisor LiDAR.

#cleanenergy  #predictivemaintenance  #deeptechstartups  #frenchtech  #floatingoffshorewind

about us :

‘Deep Tech’ start-up (Accredited by the French “Banque Publique d’Investissement”) created in March 2022, and member of several renewable energy clusters, ASTRIIS relies on an innovative technological core that has already been the subject of numerous industrial validations. Our AStrion software incorporates a number of tangible competitive advantages that enable it to differentiate itself through new use values.
Our predictive maintenance software platform is specially designed for monitoring rotating machines. It automatically detects more faults, earlier, and their origin among the monitored equipment components. Our technology is based on spectral analysis and signal processing methods, with no need for historical data to identify automatically future faults with up to 9 months’ anticipation, and we will continue to integrate new disruptive functions to improve the ROI it brings our customers.

ASTRION was named as one of the winning projects by the Prime Minister as part of the France 2030 “Advance Technologies for Energy System” call for projects, initiated by ADEME(the French Environment and Energy Management Agency). Companies like NTN-SNR, VALEMO, TotalEnergies, EDF and An Avel Braz are among its early adopters

Our ambition at ASTRIIS is to help Wind Industry in its contribution to fight Climate Change : our innovative technology enables to avoid unforeseen failure on the turbine drive train. The overall availability is then significantly improved, with more clean energy replaced fossil-fired produced electricity and accident being avoided

Predictive maintenance technologies proved their performance but require an expert in spectral analysis to interpret the indicators generated. More automation is required for improved scalability, and AStrion achieves this: it automatically detects more faults and earlier than existing CMS software, providing their location and severity level

Resulting from 30 years of R&D, AStrion is made of five subsequent components, Data Validation, Full vibration spectrum analysis at fine and wide level, Grouping of Harmonic families and Energy calculations, generation of health indicators and IA-based alarms module, all embedding cutting-edge innovations, protected by nine deposits and patents.
