Vinsobres Wines

PRESENTATION

Since 2006, Vinsobres has been recognized as a cru of the southern Rhône Valley for . The 1375 hectares of vineyard cover 7km are perched at an altitude from 200 to 450 meters, on terraces. Vinsobres is one of the highest altitude appellations in the Côtes du Rhône region. A very particular microclimate protects the village and its amphitheatre of vines. Vinsobres enjoys an unusual but very favourable geographic location, making it a southern Cru with distinctly northern characteristics.

Red wines from Vinsobres are characterized by their freshness and delicate tannin. Made mainly from Grenache and Syrah, the wines benefit from an excellent balance between tannins, acidity, spices and red fruits aromas. The palate is balanced, some fatness and roundness coat the tannins and contribute to a feeling of volume and generosity.

Marrenon has shaped its history in the vineyards of Luberon and Ventoux, between the Rhône and Provence, within UNESCO biosphere reserve nature parks. Their winemakers, passionate guardians of these lands between sea and mountains, uphold ancestral expertise enriched by a modern and innovative vision. Their tagline,“Marrenon, house of winemakers between sea and mountains” reflects their identity. Derived from Provençal, “Mar” means sea and “Mont” means mountain. Their vineyards, bathed in sunlight and tempered by altitude, express the richness of their terroirs.

PRESENTATION

The story begins in the first millennium, at the dawn of the Roman Empire. Roman legions, under Julius Caesar, established a large camp on a high plateau overlooking the Rhône river. Maison Sinnae’s roots lie within this camp, overlooking the villages of Laudun and Chusclan on the right bank of the river, an unknown but exceptional terroir. Made up of passionate winemakers who continue to write the history with humility, Maison Sinnae is driven by the desire to give body, soul and elegance to their wines and to transmit a rich heritage to future generations.

Since 1905, Famille Jaume has been dedicated to the art of winemaking, with expertise and passion handed down over five generations. In the 1980s, Pascal and Richard upheld this legacy which is now carried forward by Anthony and Vincent, the fifth generation joining the family tradition. For over 25 years, they have embraced sustainable and responsible vineyard management practices. Their respect for the environment, combined with their expertise has allowed them to produce wines of exceptional quality year after year perfectly reflecting the unique characteristics of their terroir.

DOMAINE SAINT VINCENT

Domaine Saint Vincent

PRESENTATION

A historic wine estate of Vinsobres appellation in Southern Rhône Valley since the 1920’s, this family estate of 48 hectares between vines and olive trees has been certified organic farming since the 2023 vintage. They mainly produce red wines in AOP Vinsobres, Côtes du Rhône Villages, Côtes du Rhône red and white, as well as rosé IGP Méditerranée. Their wines are produced on high-altitude clay-limestone terroirs which provide a typical freshness specific to Vinsobres. The wines develop in traditional concrete vats and in oak barrels to best express the aromatic profiles of each of the terroirs.

DOMAINE DE MONTINE

Domaine de Montine

PRESENTATION

The family wine estate is currently run by the 4th generation, Camille and Melina.They inherited their passion for wine from their fathers Jean-Luc and Claude. Their 80 hectares of vineyards are spread over different appellations : Grignan-les-Adhemar, Cotes du Rhone, Vinsobres, Gigondas, Crozes Hermitage, St Joseph, Cornas, Hermitage .Certified HVE since 2017, they are also certified EU organic as of the 2024 harvest.

For more than 20 years, they’ve grown their vines with the greatest respect for nature; their amazing terroir is the perfect playground to create wines with a deep personality and delicate aromas.

DOMAINE CHAUME ARNAUD

Domaine Chaume Arnaud

PRESENTATION

After studying oenology and viticulture, Valerie Chaume-Arnaud took over the 5 hectares of vines belonging to her parents in 1987. Along with husband Philippe, they extended the vineyard bit by bit to its current size of 40 hectares, in the cru Vinsobres in South Rhône Valley. The vineyard is located on calcareous clay, stony slopes at 400m altitude. They have been organically farming their vines since 2003 and moved towards a biodynamic approach in 2004. Chaume-Arnaud wines are a model of subtlety and elegance: the reds are rounded, velvety, complex and fruity.

DOMAINE AUTRAND

Domaine Autrand

PRESENTATION

One of their main values is shared generational knowledge, passion and respect for the terroir which is unique to Vinsobres. The estate of 88 hectares is divided into two parts. The majority is located at an average altitude of 400m on clay-stony hillsides, the other portion is planted around the family estate at an average altitude of 200m. The altitude produces natural freshness and drinkability, a signature of all the wines. The Autrand family strives in improving winemaking methods and vineyard management to further enhance the quality of the wines as it passes from one generation to the next.

Established in Vacqueyras in 1717, they are one of the oldest family-owned wineries in the Rhône Valley. For nearly three centuries, they have upheld the art of viticulture and winemaking with respect for ancestral traditions. Today, Jean-François Arnoux, the 13th generation of winemakers, continues to carry forward this family legacy with passion and dedication. Thanks to this extensive experience, they offer authentic wines, whether from their 18-hectare family estate (Château Lestours Clocher), their grape purchases, or their selections.

Fouquet Family

PRESENTATION

Fouquet Family Craft Wines was founded in 2019 by Jeremy Fouquet, who created his own company after 15 years of experience in wine exports. Nowadays, with university friend Pierre Malaval who joined him in 2024, the two wine lovers manage sales on the US market for several wine producers from the main French wine regions such as Loire Valley, Champagne, Burgundy, Rhône Valley, Beaujolais and Bordeaux.

Providing the link between French winemakers and importers/distributors across the country, they also offer a good sourcing solution : High-scored premium wines with great quality- price ratio.
