Tiamat is a spin-off startup from CNRS, that designs, develops, industrializes, and commercializes Sodium-ion batteries.
With its two generations (Gen1 for power applications, Gen2 for medium energy density applications), Tiamat covers the needs of electrification on the markets of mobility (road, rail, marine and air), stationary applications, off-highway needs and powertools. By relying on abundant materials, Tiamat offers a Sovereign and independent supply chain, and price stability.
Founded in 2017 in Amiens (France), Tiamat is based on nearly 10 years of academic research conducted by some CNRS and university research units working together within the RS2E, such as the Collège de France in Paris, the LRCS in Amiens, the CIRIMAT in Toulouse, the ICMCB in Bordeaux and the CSIC in Barcelona.
