ESOPP focuses on both sequential and simultaneous stretching lines featuring the most advanced technical designs. Our strength is to design and manufacture production lines for very high-tech film with a wide range of applications such as BOPI, BOPVF, BOPTFE, optical films, capacitor films, membranes, and battery separators film both in wet and dry process. We work with cutting-edge technologies always being renewed thanks to our integrated R&D center, pushing the development of tomorrow’s films, and taking the industry as a whole.

NOVACIUM is a R&D company funded by 3 Ph.D engineers expert in material sciences.

NOVACIUM was created in july 2022 and is based in Solaize (Lyon). The value proposition of the “Battery” project lies in an innovative approach to develop a ready to use additive which improve the performance of lithium batteries. The most promising ways of improvements is to incorporate silicon-based material into the anode. Silicon and derivates have been the core business of the Novacium team for more than 20 years, and we have mastered the entire value chain, from its manufacture and purification to the various processes involved.

This value proposition is further strengthened by a portfolio of patents relating to highly innovative surface treatments for the anode materials used in batteries, which Novacium acquired when it was founded in 2022. The combination of these 2 areas of expertise will enable Novacium to develop innovative technologies for improving anode materials, which will ultimately lead to a significant increase in the performance of lithium batteries.

NOVACIUM has identified the SiOx as the better component in terms of cost and performances. SiOx enhance the anode capacity while having a good cyclability.
To innovate at all stages of the manufacture of Silicon-based anode materials, NOVACIUM owns a patent portfolio of 5 patent families.

Novacium’s custom-engineered silicon material blend, has already obtain  > 14% performance improvement over 125 cycles on 18650 cells compared to 100% graphite batteries.

This is one of the best published Li-ion battery capacity and the quality of second generation of Novacium Si based material will allow to increase the ratio of our advance Si material blend.

Novacium has partnership with equipment manufacturer to fabricate at an industrial scale an advanced Si based material.

All equipments are at industrial scale with a baseline process ready to use.

In a second step, Novacium will implement his patented innovation (optimized oxidation, surface treatment, …). The objectives is to produce an custom-engineered silicon material blend at industrial scale.

Novacium is developing an advanced coating process to improve battery cycling so to introduce more Si in the based anode material. A proof of concept on coin cell has already been done (a few grams), the degradation after 100 cycles is much lower one coin cell. The SEI Solid Electrolyte Interface is particulary stable and adapted to Si based anode. The conductivity of the Si based anode has also been improved.

By optimizing capacity and cycling, Novacium will reduce his environmental impact. In 2024, Novacium is still a R&D company. The label will come soon.

The TISAFLEX EMI-PHY shielding sheath was invented and patented to protect humans and electronic equipment against electromagnetic waves emitted by power cables in hybrid and electric vehicles. It offers excellent resistance to abrasion both inside and out. It is easy to install, even in small spaces.    

Texprotec can support OEM and Tier One for the development of EMI Shielding adapted to the vehicle environment. We developed our own software to define the mechanical model. Our laboratory could validate the prototype calculated and launch the serial product.

Texprotec have a long tradition for textile protection sleeve. Our products are validated by OEM to protect harnesses or hoses for automotive application. Our R&D department could develop specific product according to the technical specification of our customers.

IN-CORE Systèmes designs, manufactures and installs advanced inspection solutions for quality control, traceability and digitalization integrated in all processing steps of the LI-Ions batteries electrodes. Involved in the battery inspection since 2005, IN-CORE has developed several tools to control the quality of the electrodes.
 
IN-CORE’s solution, installed on other production processes controls the coating width after pressing, the quality of the slits on the slitting machine, the position of the layers on the stacking machine, the quality of the separator on the manufacturing process.

LineaVision:

The quality inspection LineaVision, based on high accurate line sensors, controls 100% of the electrode’ surface on both sides and checks the product compliance with quality request. During the electrode manufacturing, the most important is to check very precisely all geometrical parameters which influence directly the electrodes performances.

2d marking system:

In-CORE Electrode sheet code marking system engraves the unique 2D code for better traceability.

LineaTrack:

LineaTrack, installed in the coating line, is IN-CORE’ tool to serialize each individual electrode whatever the coating pattern

This is what we call full digitalization solution perfectly customized to the electrodes manufacturing level.
