about us
PARIS EST MARNE & BOIS – A SUSTAINABLE AND INNOVATIVE TERRITORY AT THE GATEWAY TO PARIS
Paris Est Marne & Bois is part of the Greater Paris Metropolitan Area, bringing together 13 municipalities and 520,000 residents. Located between Paris and the Marne River, the territory places innovation, ecological transition and cooperation at the heart of its development strategy.
Through its “Sustainable and Innovative Territory” initiative, Paris Est Marne & Bois acts as a real-life testing ground for innovative solutions. Our ambition is to start with the concrete needs of local authorities, identify innovative solutions and enable companies to test them in real-life conditions in order to accelerate their deployment.
Artificial intelligence for public policies, water quality, climate adaptation, renewable energy and new forms of mobility: our projects bring together local authorities, innovative companies, public institutions and scientific partners to address the major challenges facing tomorrow’s cities.
At Smart City Expo World Congress, Paris Est Marne & Bois is showcasing this approach alongside three partner companies with which the Territory is developing innovative projects : DRONOTEC, ROBEAU and CYTHELYA Together, we demonstrate how cooperation between public and private stakeholders can accelerate sustainable, scalable solutions that deliver tangible benefits to citizens.
13 cities, one territory, one living lab for innovation and transition.

OUR innovation
Paris Est Marne & Bois is bringing swimming back to the Marne River through safe, accessible natural bathing sites. To enhance water safety, the Territory is also testing drones with Dronotec, combining real-time video transmission and image recognition technologies to detect potential risks earlier and provide additional support to water safety professionals.
OUR ECO-RESPONSIBLE COMMITMENTS
All the experiments we run with businesses are rooted in our Territorial Climate-Air-Energy Plan (PCAET). Our ambition is to make our territory both sustainable and innovative. That is why we created the « Sustainable and Innovative Territory » policy: a framework to test solutions that meet the needs of our municipalities, our residents and the environment.
