#sustainableconstruction #concrete #timberconstruction #innovation #summercomfort

about us :

In 2006, François Cochet and Laurent Noca, founders of CCB GREENTECH, decided to develop a construction solution that would be suited to climate change and have a low environmental impact.
After years of R&D and more than sixty projects, the TimberRoc® wood-based concrete was born. This biosourced concrete can be used to make load-bearing or non-load-bearing walls and floors for all types of building, up to R+10, in seismicity zones 1 to 4. A number of construction principles have been developed with technical documents and certifications, and are available from licensed prefabrication partners.
The special feature of the wood-based concrete is that it has a negative carbon footprint, while allowing structural construction. In addition to this unique advantage, it has remarkable technical properties: very high inertia (guaranteed summer comfort), remarkable sound absorption, fire resistance…
The biosourced raw material used in the formulation of the TimberRoc® wood-based concrete is a high-quality wood aggregate with the Bois de France label, produced from pulpwood (not usable as timber) sourced mainly from PEFC-certified French forestry operators, i.e. those who manage their forests sustainably.
Established in 2021 in Beaurepaire (Isere), on a former industrial wasteland, CCB Greentech has two plants: a wood aggregate production plant and an R&D pilot plant.
TimberRoc® wood concrete is a ground-breaking innovation for the construction industry that is good for the planet, good for building users and good for all those involved in the construction process.

#AI #Waste #Recycling

about us :

Ficha is a company specializing in the development of artificial intelligence and computer vision models for waste management.

Waste management is grappling with challenges related to the quality and quantity of collected and recycled waste. High error rates lead to additional costs for communities and waste management operators. These stakeholders lack traceability to pinpoint the sources of errors and implement appropriate actions (communication, fees, etc.) to address the issue.

Ficha introduces sensors that integrate artificial intelligence and video processing technologies, installed on both bins and trucks. This innovation enables the detection of 21 categories of waste, from recyclable to non-recyclable items.

The ‘Cocon’ sensor is installed on existing bins and identifies the quality and quantity of waste disposed of by each user. Based on this analysis, we provide feedback to users and reward their sorting efforts through our Ficha mobile app. Comprehensive data is accessible to our clients. This solution achieves a sorting accuracy of over 95% and doubles the amount of recyclable waste collected.

The Camia solution employs a similar technology, integrating sensors to detect errors in each bin collected by garbage trucks. Our clients gain access to the data, enabling them to identify error sources within their territories and collection routes and implement specific actions to rectify them. This solution has successfully reduced sorting errors by 20% in our clients’ territories.

With over 20 clients in France, we are now seeking our first European partner.

The ‘cocon’ is a sensor that adapts to every bin. It identifies the trash deposited by the user through AI. We are increasing the quality of the deposited trash to 95% and doubling the recycling rate.

The Camia solution is a sensor that integrates computer vision technology to detect errors in each bin collected by the garbage collection trucks.

Ficha is developing tools that helps our clients to achieve greater traceability in waste management through dashboards and to encourage sorting actions by providing a rewarding app.

#urbanplanning  #hydrology #prediction #waterquality #startup

about us :

HETWA is a forward-thinking startup, founded in 2022 and recognized as a French university spin-off, specializing in environmental management solutions. The company’s flagship product, the interactive platform MEWISO, is a groundbreaking advancement in environmental intelligence. This innovative tool empowers territory managers and city planners to monitor, assess, and anticipate water-related challenges, from pollution to resource management. HETWA also introduces Enviro-Scores, providing simplified environmental insights at the city level.

HETWA’s multidisciplinary team of six experts in hydrology, ecology, remote sensing, and software development drives the company’s vision. We assess natural risks like flooding, drought, erosion, and algal blooms, and optimize urban development by identifying areas for de-waterproofing and restoring natural environments. MEWISO deploys these vulnerability scores and updates study results with new observations, aligning with local authority decision-making.

We offer municipalities solutions to make informed decisions, optimizing development to meet community needs, minimize environmental impact, enhance natural environments, and reduce risks. MEWISO’s comprehensive approach to water quality and resource management sets it apart.

MEWISO ZOOM NATURAL RISK provides down to 1m resolution natural risk scoring of an area, offering a comprehensive risk view such as flood risk. It enhances decision-making with interactive maps, and reports. It integrates with PREVIMAP for automated risk prevention.

MEWISO ZOOM PRIORITIZING INFILTRATION AREA provides a scoring system to prioritize areas for de-impermeabilization, taking into account environmental factors (infiltration capacity, heat islands…) and socio-economic concerns (retirement homes, schools…).

MEWISO Sim is an advanced, user-friendly simulation platform that tests the impact of urban planning on water resources and quality. It helps municipalities ensure water potability and prevent eutrophication, supporting climate change adaptation efforts.

I-SEA

#ClimateRisks #ClimateAdaptation #Biodiversité #Littoral #space #AI

about us :

I-SEA provides modern solutions at the crossroads of space and digital for the coastline and biodiversity. It offers a differentiating offer on the cartography and monitoring market produced by experts in biodiversity and oceanography. The co-founders are two women that are passionate about the benefits of space and the added value that satellite imagery brings to the detailed and precise knowledge of our territories and of our ecosystem.

I-SEA offers a service dedicated to the challenges of Biodiversity to support the implementation of public policies in favor of the reconquest of Biodiversity, ecological and climatic transition.

Space data are essential for monitoring the mobility of the coastline, the evolution of the bathymetry of shallow waters and shore bars, characterizing the evolution of sedimentary stocks, and assessing the vulnerability of coastal areas to coastal erosion.

I-sea has also invented a new offer to support clients and maritime works operators in managing their water quality issues and controlling the impacts of dredging and dumping activities on the marine environment.

Finally, I-sea proposes an offer allowing better knowledge of the nautical sector on bodies of water (counting of boats, areas of navigation and periods of frequentation, anchoring areas, activities practiced) and therefore the pressure exerted on marine habitats.

The satellite tool BIOCAST provides a precise and up-to-date overview of the different types of vegetation and natural habitats. It allows the very high-resolution ecological characterization of natural spaces and natural spaces in the city.

Our generic coastline product is a monitoring tool for the dynamics of the shoreline which allows a rapid and global diagnosis of the recent evolution of the coastline. The interest lies in its global coverage and reproducibility.

From satellite archives, it is possible to reconstruct a historical database of certain water quality parameters (turbidity, concentrations of suspended matter, chlorophyll-a, etc.) with a time depth of up to 20 years.
