Persea is a French biotech start-up developing an MTI: BioTrojan, a game-changing treatment for solid cancers. Their treatment is called BioTrojan in reference to the Trojan horse: it is in short a cellular Trojan horse carrying a suicide gene which, once introduced into the tumor, reacts on contact with the cyclophosphamide acting as the messenger.

In France, intensive care units treat 800,000 patients a year. 90% of patients in intensive care complain of poor sleep. No treatment or care can be implemented without information on the patient’s state of sleep. Somno has therefore designed a mini-sleep recorder and analyser for intensive care patients, with real-time information for carers. The device makes it possible to observe, improve and adapt sleep treatments for intensive care patients. This project is the fruit of a meeting between a researcher and sleep doctor, Pr Xavier Drouot and an entrepreneur, Maud de la Belleissue. The solution provides sleep management and adapted care.

After cancer, diabetes and coronary heart disease, sleep apnoea is the pathology with the greatest medico-economic impact on Western societies. Founded in 2021 by Séverin Benizri, Guillaume Cathelain and Bruno Sicre, the DeepTech start-up has developed a technology that enables advanced sleep examinations to be carried out at home, with diagnostic accuracy and using only the patient’s smartphone attached to the chest with an adhesive bandage. The application records patient movements and breathing sounds, which are then transformed by artificial intelligence into signals equivalent to those of an advanced clinical examination and enabling cardiac and respiratory events to be detected automatically. These are then summarised in the form of an examination report and sent to the healthcare professional via an ergonomic dashboard.

EzyGain aims to revolutionise walking rehabilitation. Designed for the elderly and people losing their independence, EzyGain is a gait trainer that incorporates a pelvic weight-lifting system. Compact and easy to use, it has been designed to fit into small structures. EzyGain was born out of a meeting with the head doctor of a rehabilitation centre who wanted to develop an innovative gait retraining device suited to small facilities. Indeed, 4.25 million French people have difficulty walking, but do not always have access to the care they need, depending on their situation and the saturation of centres.

Today, Ezygain has developed other ranges of increasingly innovative products. EMA, AMY and CycloSense support people with reduced mobility throughout their rehabilitation, which is monitored by an application offering gait analysis and cognitive stimulation exercises. For even greater immersion, EzyGain offers its virtual reality modules (VR Pro and VR Essential), a unique rehabilitation experience for the upper and lower limbs.
