DISCOVER THEIR SOLUTIONS
Tiamat designs, develops, industrializes and commercializes sodium-ion batteries. With its two generations (Gen1 for power applications, Gen2 for medium energy density applications), Tiamat covers electrification needs in the mobility field (road, rail, marine and air), stationary applications, off-road needs and power tool markets.
Thanks to its patented polyanionic positive active chemistry, the Tiamat Gen1 cell is designed for high power applications (60C in discharge and charge) and ultra-fast charging solutions (<10 min). Tiamat’s Gen1 sodium-ion technology is designed for high-power applications, including mobility (48V MHEV, HEV, FCEV, BT SLI, EV backup batteries, and fast-charging EVs), stationary power storage (grid frequency regulation, UPS), power tools, and industrial use. It offers superior safety with low thermal runaway and minimal need for additional protection, and it avoids lithium, nickel, and cobalt, utilizing widely available materials refined in France. The Gen1 cell boasts a long life cycle of 10,000 high-rate cycles, making it cost-effective.
Gen2, currently in development, features a new lamellar cathode material aimed at improving energy density. With an initial density of over 140 Wh/kg, Tiamat aims for 160 Wh/kg at TRL7. Gen2 targets electric mobility (commercial and private BEVs, 2 and 3-wheel vehicles) and stationary energy storage (PV and wind farms), addressing supply and material sovereignty for future electrification needs.
Tiamat will start the construction of a 5GWh Gigafactory dedicated to the production of its Sodium-ion technology, the first volumes will be released in Q1 2026.
