From design and construction to renovation and scheduled maintenance, SOCOFER applies its railway expertise to following sectors:
The infrastructure division covers all self-propelled, towed, and modular machines for track, catenary and rail infrastructure maintenance.
The functions performed are numerous and diversified, and range from cleaning to vacuuming, weeding, craning, measuring, checking, rail welding and many other fields on specific customer request.
The traction division covers all small and medium-power rail traction equipment. SOCOFER offers a wide range of diesel, hydraulic, hydrostatic, electric, and dual-mode solutions for all gauges.
SOCOFER also offers services in the fields of rail maintenance and “railroad” solutions, working in partnership with Group companies.
Infrastructure: rail-type solutions for weeding, vacuum cleaning, rail treatment crane and rail handling, catenary and infrastructure inspection operations and many more applications specifically requested by our customers
Traction: includes all small and medium-powered rail traction machines. SOCOFER offers a range of engines – hydraulic diesel type, hydrostatic, electric or dual-mode – with power storage on batteries for any type of track.
TRACFER: Our TRACFER subsidiary in Metz manages the conception and rental of railway traction equipment, rail-road locomotives for rail networks and private branch lines.
