#SelfLockingNuts #SafetyFastenersManufacturing #LanfrancoSlottedNuts #ReusableSelfLockingNut #LanfrancoMadeInFrance #SecurityFasteners

about us :

ENSURE RELIABILITY WITH HIGH-PERFORMANCE, VIBRATION-RESISTANT SELF-LOCKING NUTS

J. LANFRANCO & Cie has been manufacturing self-locking nuts for 50 years. Our safety fasteners are designed to meet any standard (European, North or South American) in the railway, mining, nuclear, aerospace and petrochemical industries.

The LANFRANCO fasteners are as diversified as they are specific, due to the wide range of applications. Our products can secure any critical bolted joint.

With our cutting-edge equipment, our company has reached the same level of expertise as private laboratories.
We have expanded our production plant to over 10,000 m2 to keep up with the increasing demand for our products.

Our machinery includes around ten robotic transfer units with the capacity to produce both small and large series. The factory also has CNC machines to produce custom parts and non-standard products.

These new production capacities enable us to respond more effectively to short production cycles, both urgent requests and specific orders with tight deadlines.

We also have greater storage capacity, which means better management and a higher quality of service.

The locking device is ensured by the two slots located on the turret part of the nut.
Each slot is de-piched by a precise manufacturing process.

Once the nut is fitted on the screw, the slots are pushed back open to their original shape and grip against the thread flanks of the screw which creates the torque.

This locking technology allows a minimum of 5 installations.

The ERM nut has a free spring washer crimped on the nut to become a single piece and ensure better tension in the screw, better distribution, and continuous contact, ideal for electrical connections.

A unique all-metal piece ensuring optimal performance to corrosive and chemical substances and in temperature conditions ranging from -70° C to +500° C

The self-locking principle of the HUP nut is to crimp a nylon ring on the upper part of the nut so that when the screw is fitted, the ring is deformed by the threads, allowing the screw to be braked significantly without vibration.

Temperature resistance of the standard nylon ring: -40°C to +120°C

Temperature resistance of the brown high temperature nylon: -40°C to +230°C

OUR ECO-RESPONSIBLE COMMITMENTS :

Our environmental policy is part of both a short-term operational approach and a long-term vision, and is fully in line with J.LANFRANCO’s global strategy.
Several areas of operational control relating to our impacting environmental aspects have been defined:
Comply with environmental laws and other specifics requirements.
Evaluate and reduce as far as possible the environmental impact of all our activities. Measure the effectiveness of the actions implemented.
Raise awareness, encourage participation and train employees in environmental issues. Communicate objectives and indicators.
Evaluate the environmental approach of our suppliers and adopt the most virtuous relationship possible.
This environmental policy and the associated objectives are reviewed periodically to ensure that they remain relevant.
It is in line with J.LANFRANCO & Cie’s general guidelines and contributes to the company’s environmental commitment and performance.

#Airpollution #ParticuleMatter #Brakedust #Innovation #Technology #TAMIC®

about us :

Pollution caused by particulate matter is harmful to environment and human health.

The heaviest fraction of particulate matter contributes to environmental pollution by being carried by the water runoff to the rivers & sea. Airborne particulate matter contributes to air pollution by causing health problems. International Agency for Research on Cancer has classified PM2.5 as level 1 carcinogens for humans.

Average fine particles concentration (PM2.5) in underground stations is 5x higher than World Health Organization daily exposure limit. In these confined environments, high concentration is especially harmful to human health.

In most underground rail networks, brake dust represents 50% of the air pollution in stations. Majority of brake wear is transformed into airborne particles while the remaining fraction is deposited either on the train or on the rail.

Today, no technically efficient solution is deployed. This is why Tallano Technologies developed a breakthrough innovation to capture particulate matter emitted by vehicles’ braking, called TAMIC® system.

How does it work? TAMIC® is a suction system, that will capture brake dust within the calliper and retain it a filter before its dispersion in the air.

With 49 patents registered, Tallano Technologies currently holds one of the world’s largest patent portfolios in the field.

TAMIC®: The efficient solution

Over 70% of disc & pad wear collected.

#PostCarbon #RailwayStationDesign #MultiDisciplinarity #UrbanPlanning #Research #EMC2B

about us :

Founded in 1997 and a subsidiary of SNCF Gares & Connexions, the AREP group brings together a wide range of skills: in architecture through its company AREP Architectes, in urban planning, design, engineering, programming, people movement, consulting and project management. With its subsidiaries in France and abroad, the group provides concrete responses to the challenges of the ecological emergency through its EMC2B approach (Energy, Materials, Carbon, Climate, Biodiversity). It contributes to research, public debate and the development of practices through its publications, in particular its magazine POST. With offices in France and abroad, the AREP group employs nearly 1,000 people of 30 different nationalities.

Post-carbon Railway Stations

The AREP Group is at the forefront of ecological transition and designs future post-carbon railway stations, in France and abroad. EMC2B is our framework for making post-carbon operational. EMC2B weights the ecological footprint of a project, at all scales. EMC2B is a metric system that can be used to assess the five transitions that all projects must address. Using specific values, we identify the quantity of materials used and their origin (materials), greenhouse gas emissions (carbon), energy consumption and production (energy), albedo (climate) and the number of trees preserved or planted (biodiversity).

Train maintenance facilites

The AREP group has been designing and building maintenance workshops and technical railway buildings for over twenty years, both new and refurbished, including on operating sites.
Our projects reflect a sustained focus on today’s business practices and how they evolve, on understanding processes and how they are transposed into buildings, and on the modularity of spaces to extend the life of our projects without compromising future uses.
Plunging these projects into a post-carbon future means above all thinking about their adaptability, within their environment and over time.

Interior design of trains

A partnership between AREP and NENDO was formed in 2018 to create a surprising and refreshing new experience in the railway environment. This project is part of the overall design of the new French Inoui  TGV. The concept for the project, “flow”, was based on a very simple idea: the train looks like no other means of transport, it makes its way through the landscape, rather like the flow of a river.  The project team played with the idea of depth inside, with a strong horizon line running through all the elements, giving the impression of the surface of water.  Below this line, the materials are darker, and above it, everything is lighter to create a strong atmosphere and to ensure a long life in use.

OUR ECO-RESPONSIBLE COMMITMENTS :

To take action and give concrete expression to our ambition to build the ecological transition, we have devised the EMC2B approach for energy, materials, carbon, climate and biodiversity.

EMC2B is a metric system that can be used to assess the five transitions that all projects must address, and is our blueprint for making the post-carbon era operational. This approach is open and free to share, because we all have a common objective: to preserve the habitability of cities, regions and, more generally, the planet.
