about us :

Today, Short Édition employs 15 people, in Grenoble, Paris and Philadelphia, all sharing the same ambition to promote reading and writing and all convinced that technology can serve culture. Thanks to a little creativity and a lot of R&D, the Short Story DispenserTM was born. It was launched in Grenoble in October 2015 and was the topic of a huge media storm and reached the ears of a famous film producter and short story publisher, Francis Ford Coppola. He immediately decided to get one for his literary Café Zoetrope in San Francisco, and later for his wineries in Napa Valley for international visitors. Today we have over 600 Short Story Dispensers installed across 5 continents and over 15,000 contemporary short stories to share from authors worldwide in various public spaces: public libraries, universities, hospitals, schools, airports/rail stations, shopping centers, museums, cafés and restaurants…. to reach readers on each corner of the globe – from Paris to Hong Kong to San Francisco.

Short Édition innovates to promote reading for pleasure by offering short literature bursts via Short Story DispensersTM. The concept rekindles storytelling with stories, poetry, and comics in English or Chinese, printed on an eco-friendly scroll to enhance transit experiences.

The Short Story Cube™, an Edtech solution, sparks curiosity in classrooms to foster reading for pleasure while teaching essential writing skills on eco-friendly paper. The Cube engages students in offline moments with a symphony of stories, boosting literacy and cultural engagement.

The Short Story Disc, a digital version of the Dispenser, offers unlimited free content via QR codes, promoting reading for pleasure in various spaces. Easy to install, it enhances waiting areas, transportation hubs, and cafés, fostering memorable experiences through literature.
