“What do you know about truffles?” a father-in-law asked his son-in-law in November 2011. “It’s a mushroom!” the son in law replied. From here Truffe Extra France was born!
Founded by a father & son-in-law, Guillaume Gé and Mathieu Trellu, the company has since grown and 5 years later another family member joined the fold: Guillaume’s brother David. Today, the team is made up of 8 people who oversee business development, logistics, and, of course, agriculture.
11 years since that simple question, the company now provides truffles to the best chefs in the world, from Paris to Hong Kong, and is globally recognised as a leading producer in Aquitaine Region (the best place for black truffle production).
