Méo

Méo

Méo has been producing coffee for about a century and enjoys strong partnerships with the best coffee producers in the world.

An independent family business, with a strong commitment to environmental protection, Méo leads the market in organic products, the development of recyclable packaging, compostable capsules and large formats that use less packaging.

Méo is hugely popular in France, best-known for its organic coffee range, which includes ground coffee, beans, capsules and pods. Specialists in beans and ground coffee, méo has a wide range of beans, and their Espresso (arabica & robusta blend) and Excellence (100% Arabica premium) recipes are among France’s top 10 best-selling coffee beans. Their ground coffee is also France’s best-seller, with the Original considered to be a must-stock for the country’s retailers.

Méo is still family-led, today managed by Gerard and Edgar Meauxsoone, son and grandson of the Méo’s founder. At French Food Days, the company will present their latest venture: Koota, an eco-responsible coffee brand commited to traceability and a neutral carbon footprint.

All Koota products are certified fair trade and have the Max Havelaar label, recognising the brands support for farmers in the southern hemisphere and the commitment to transitioning to sustainable agricultural practices.

Each metal Koota box has a QR code where consumers can trace their coffee’s journey: cultivation, transport, roasting, preparation, tasting, and recycling are some examples. The packaging is 100% recyclable and 85% of it is made from recycled materials.
