François Doucet Confiseur

François Doucet is named for its founder and has been family-run in the heart of Provence since 1969. Being in Provence is key to François Doucet’s success, as it gives the company local access to the finest fresh fruits and nuts:
– 75% of all the fruit comes from Provence.
– 100% of the Almonds and Hazelnuts come from France
– 100% of the chocolate is trade fair

The thorough selection of the highest quality produce has led to François Doucet’s reputation as the leading reference for fruit jellies and coated chocolate.

For over 50 years, the François Doucet team have worked meticulously to enhance the traditional techniques used in artisanal confectionery and chocolate-making.

The story began in 1969 in Oraison, a small town in the ‘Alpes de Haute-Provence’, tucked away in the peaceful hills of the South of France. In this serene corner of the world, François Doucet and his wife, Maggy, bought one of the region’s last remaining ‘cassoirs’ (processing facilities).

Why Oraison? The location was no accident: it is at the very heart of Provence that almonds, apricots, pears, apples, quinces, and figs grow in abundance.

François Doucet’s original vision continues to flourish thanks to a team who work every day to create François Doucet confectionery.

Each member of the team plays a key role, whether it be working tirelessly to ensure a perfect final product or performing the most delicate tasks by hand.
