Callysthé

Callysthé

Anthony Lebrun first developed his love of tea during a stay in England. He switched from smoked, black tea to matcha, pu’er, rooibos, meandering between the flavours at will. Today, he travels around the world soaking up smells and tastes that he is inspired to blend with those of his homeland, Corsica.

In 2016, through Callysthé, he created the first brand of premium teas and infusions made on the island. Each blend is the result of extensive research in association with local and international herbalists and producers.

Today, Callysthé is made up of a tight-knit team of 4, but fortunately founder Anthony’s mother and grandmother lend a hand during busy periods! The team is growing and they are expecting to have 3 new people join by the end of 2023.

Introducing Callysthé to Ireland is an exciting prospect for Anthony & his team, as Ireland the European country whose population boasts the largest percentage of tea drinkers! The average volume per person expected to amount to 0,89Kg in 2023.  What’s more, there are many stories and similarities between the two islands, Ireland and Corsica, and Anthony is confident that there is place for a Corsican tea brand to carve out its niche.
