about us :

Faced with growing environmental challenges, SUEZ has been delivering essential services that protect and improve our quality of life for more than 160 years. SUEZ provides its customers with innovative and resilient solutions for water and waste services. With 40 000 employees across 40 countries, the Group works with customers to create value over the full lifecycle of their assets and services, and to drive their low carbon transition. In 2022, SUEZ provided drinking water for 68 million people worldwide and sanitation services for more than 37 million people. The Group generated 8.2 TWh of energy from waste and wastewater. In 2022, SUEZ has generated revenues of 8.8 billion euros*.

Alexandria East Since 2012, SUEZ and its partner, Arab Contractors, have been responsible for the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant east of Alexandria. This station covers the needs of half the city.
In 2022, the Group was responsible for the extension of the station with the installation of a sludge treatment line, with 4 digesters of 16,000 m3 each, which reduce the volume of sludge produced and generate 65% of the energy required for the operation of the station, i.e. nearly 6 MWh of electricity.

Key figures
– 4,5 million inhabitants served
– 800,000 m3 of wastewater treatment capacity per day
– 6MHz of electricity produced

Since 2014, SERAMM, a dedicated company and subsidiary of SUEZ, has been managing wastewater treatment in five communes of the Aix Marseille Provence Metropolis (Allauch, Carnoux-en-Provence, Marseille, Septèmes-les-Vallons and the Gémenos industrial zone). Its mission is to treat the region’s wastewater to protect the health of its inhabitants and preserve their environment. The Géolide wastewater treatment plant, buried beneath the Stade Vélodrome and designed for 1.8 million inhabitants, treats 70 million m3 per year. Since January 2019, the biogas resulting from the sludge digestion process has been purified and transformed into “biomethane”, then odorized and controlled before being injected into the public natural gas network. A total of 2,500 homes are heated using this resource derived from wastewater.

Key figures
– 1 million inhabitants served by public wastewater systems
– 2,000 km of networks (combined, storm and sanitary)
– 17 communes connected to the GEOLIDE wastewater treatment plant

SUEZ, in collaboration with partner Pizzarotti of Parma, has completely renovated the CUMA plant in Naples. The Group has been operating the plant since 2017, generating a very positive impact on water and the coastal environment thanks to innovative technologies.
Achievements:
– Improved effluent quality
– Biogas production from sludge and 25% reduction in energy consumption thanks to cogeneration
– 80% reduction in sludge elimination thanks to digestion and drying

Key figures
– 1,200,000 inhabitants served
– 209,385 m3/day average capacity
– 7,500 tons/year sludge produced and eliminated

#WaterSaving #SustainableAgriculture #Salinitycontrol #InnovativeTechnologies #Agriculturewithlesswater #SoilProtection

about us :

SNF is the world leader in the manufacture of water-soluble polymers, SNF has developed a range of more than 1,000 products 21 production sites around the world and a production capacity exceeding 4000 tons/day. SNF has the largest polyacrylamide production capacity in the world and now accounts for almost half of global polyacrylamide production. Our polymers are used in all markets where water is present: drinking water production, wastewater treatment, sludge dewatering, oil and gas extraction, mining, paper manufacturing, textiles, cosmetics, and agriculture.
Through a long-term strategy focused on innovation and investment, SNF maintains a high level of R&D spending, while continuously investing in the improvement and expansion of its production sites. With 70% of global water consumption, agriculture is undoubtedly the sector of activity that consumes the most water. SNF offers products to improve germination, water retention, electrical conductivity of soils and hydraulic conductivity of soils. This allows for better water management, reducing costs and protecting local resources, which are increasingly threatened and necessary for all agricultural production. Certain applications act directly to prevent the appearance of mud crust on sensitive soils, or on the resistance of soils to the surface to limit erosion.

FLOBOND DI2010 WaterSaver is an adjuvant for drip irrigation systems designed to create a larger, more durable wet bulb for the root zone. It maintains the structure of soil aggregates as water penetrates the soil and thus maintains the hydraulic conductivity of the soil for better diffusion of water in the soil, thereby optimizing water and fertilizer efficiency applied by fertigation and positively influencing the growth of the crop. It greatly alleviates water stress between irrigations by retaining soil moisture for longer.

SNF has developed FLOBOND LX50 Anti-salt to limit the negative impact of excess salt on crops. This soluble adjuvant comes in the form of a liquid, which is diluted as easily as a liquid fertilizer, requiring no specific equipment. By chelating part of the excess salts in the soil during irrigation with FLOBOND LX50 Anti-salt, the electro conductivity of the soil is reduced very effectively. The osmotic balance between the soil and the plant being balanced again, the plant once again absorbs certain vital elements, previously blocked, such as Ca2+, Mg2+, K+, etc.

COHIN ENVIRONNEMENT

COHIN ENVIRONNEMENT

#water #sanitation #wastewater #environment #communities #industrial

about us :

Designer and builder of wastewater treatment plants, COHIN ENVIRONNEMENT carries out turnkey projects, both in the urban and industrial fields. The innovative side of COHIN ENVIRONNEMENT has made it possible to develop a completely biological wastewater treatment plant, located in a single basin via our patented purification process: the UniBiocell® Process.

The development of a whole range of WASTE WATER BOX, from the 40′ maritime container, to the wood or composite material solution, allows us to offer modularity and extensibility, to respond to variations in effluent quantities to be treated, but also to quickly cope with the needs for wastewater treatment, in a sustainable or temporary manner for emergency situations.

COHIN ENVIRONNEMENT is able to offer studies, audits, advice and technical assistance, as well as any specific services linked to the development of purification processes and sludge treatment.

The UniBiocell® process that we have developed is a sequential and continuous biological process, it ensures operation in three treatment stages in a single basin bringing together the biological treatment phase, the settling phase and the rejection phase. The process allows continuous supply and reliable discontinuous discharge of treated water.

This UniBiocell® process can be implemented in classic wastewater treatment plants made of concrete structures but also in the form of micro-stations or small mobile stations with the Waste Water Box product.

The UniBiocell® treatment system makes it possible to achieve purification efficiencies greater than 95% on BOD5 and COD.

Our WASTE WATER BOX is a compact, removable and mobile one-piece wastewater treatment plant, using our UniBiocell® system. The treatment capacity of the WASTE WATER BOX can be between 100 and 2000 PE thanks to the addition of several monoblock treatment plants from 100 to 300 PE.

The diversity of the WASTE WATER BOX range makes it possible to quickly respond to wastewater treatment needs, sustainably or temporarily for emergency situations.

Several ranges have been developed from the WASTE WATER BOX:

– Steel & Fiberglass

– Wood

– Maritime container

– Reinforced concrete

– Biodiscs

Advice & Audits

From the treatment of urban wastewater, industrial process water to sludge treatment, our engineers are able to provide quality advice.

We can provide technical assistance in the form of a wastewater treatment plant audit or a treatment plant performance study.

Thanks to its feedback in the field of wastewater treatment plant operation, Cohin Environnement has the capacity and skills to provide you with operating advice on your wastewater treatment plants.
