Sectors

MERLIN Group operates across diverse sectors, delivering innovative solutions for sustainable infrastructure. In Water and Wastewater infrastructures, it specializes in master plans, supply networks, reservoirs, stormwater systems, and pumping stations. In the Water Treatment sector, it handles drinking water production, wastewater treatment, sludge treatment, by-products management, and biogas energy. Its Hydraulic Works focus on flood protection, dams, river management, and irrigation. The Solid Waste division addresses collection, recycling, composting, and energy recovery. Detailed Design, Tender documents preparation and construction supervision for the development of Water and Sanitation infrastructure for Mbarara Areas. Package 1 Kagera Water Works

The general objective of the project is to secure and improve the water supply in Mbarara and Isingiro district.

The scope of works is the following:

  • Water Intake: 8m³/s
  • Kagera Water treatment plant: 30 000 m³/d
  • Treated water pumping station: 650m³/h
  • 3 reservoirs:
    • 2000m³ Concrete tank in BIHUNYA HILL
    • 800m³ Steel Tank in KABEREBERE
    • 250m³ Steel Tank in KAJAHO
  • Main conveyor: Total Length: 57,836m – DN 400 to DN 700
