As an applicator and designer of solutions for the anti-corrosion protection of metallic mechanical components (mainly fasteners for the automotive industry), Mithieux Metal Protect is developing its position as a leader in the surface treatment industry in highly technical markets.
Mithieux Metal Protect has been a family business since 1937, with a strong commitment to innovation, and has been eligible for Research Tax Credit since 2011.
Our customers are mainly Tier 1’s and Tier 2’s automotive suppliers with international operations. With a production site located in Chambéry (France), Mithieux Metal Protect has joined the first national Automotive Accelerator developed by BPI France in 2019.
Today positioned as one of the national leaders in its field, we are IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified.
E-Volution 2 – Tin Zinc plating
Adapted for the development of electromobility with the search for the best technical and economic compromise for very demanding applications (anti-corrosion, electrical conductivity, etc.).

Zinc nickel 12-15% plating
This process is suitable for coating parts in which the operating environment is « severe », offering higher levels of resistance to corrosion (> 1000 hours of resistance to salt spray) and abrasion.
Adapted for extreme conditions, with a search for performance, optimization of weight.
Zinc plating
This economical process, which ensures corrosion resistance adapted to moderate operating conditions, is carried out on our latest generation automated lines. Two types of passivations can be carried out following the deposit depending on the performance and the desired appearance.

OUR ECO-RESPONSIBLE COMMITMENTS :
Apart from the ISO 14001 certification, we’ve been involved in several projects in regards to environmental excellence such as an Eco Flux Diagnostic with the support of BPI France, a heat recovery initiative, and a European Circular 4.0* project (which involves supporting industrial SMEs in the Alpine region in their transition to a circular economy).
