CSTB – Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment

The Scientific and Technical Center for Building (CSTB) is a French public body for innovation in construction. It focuses on five key activities: research and expertise, assessment, testing, certification, and dissemination of knowledge, all performed to address the challenges of the energy and digital transitions in the construction sector.
Its expertise covers construction products, buildings, and their integration into neighbourhoods and cities. With over 1000 employees and its subsidiaries and networks of national, European, and international partners, the CSTB group offers its services to all parties involved in construction to improve the quality and safety of buildings.

THE PIPING SYSTEMS AND SANITARY EQUIPMENTS LABORATORY of CSTB with a 5,000 m² space located in France near Paris, tests products used in piping systems, conveyance of water from the collection point to the point of use, for sanitary, HVAC, drainage, and sewerage applications.
QB, the certification mark of CSTB, is for any stakeholder who puts quality assurance first, to ensure that construction works incorporate reliable products with technical characteristics certified by third-party bodies like the CSTB. CSTB delivers the QB certification mark for France and for international markets. This quality mark demonstrates the reliability of the production process and the high level of quality of products.
