COMPANY PROFILE

Founded in 1878, the Jules Pansu company stands as one of the oldest weavers in French furnishing fabrics. Designer and manufacturer for over 140 years, its workshops are located in Halluin, in the Flanders region, the cradle of tapestry for the past six hundred years. The company combines exceptional savoir-faire with tradition, elegance and modernity, all passed down through five generations.

Jules Pansu Company weaves and sells cushion covers in different sizes,tapestries featuring both classical and contemporary designs and rugs inspired by artworks from Picasso and Miro. They also developed a collection of trays, rafted using their fabric molded between two acrylic plates. They also offer a “fabric by the meter” collection with rich colors and designs. 

Since its foundation, the Jules Pansu company has employed France’s finest crafstmen (two of Meilleurs Ouvriers of France), a guarantee of high quality associated with a strong technical potential. In 2012, the company was awarded the prestigious label “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (Living Heritage Company) by the State. This label recognizes French companies with artisanal expertise and industrial excellence.

With its French and international heritage and renowned skills, the Jules Pansu company is currently solicited by artist successions for collaboration and public institutions, or private clients to create unique pieces. 

 

The century-old family company, labeled EPV (LIVING HERITAGE COMPANY), stands out with its exceptional expertise passed down through generations. They offer high-quality jacquard woven creations and provide the customization of bespoke designs, while benefiting from the recognized expertise of two « Meilleurs Ouvriers de France » (Best Craftsmen of France).
