Created in 2007, OTONOMY AVIATION (OA) is a rank one supplier. It designs, manufactures and supplies high definition optronic systems for business aviation, providing three service offers:

OA products are standard for the major aircraft manufactures (Gulfstream, Dassault, Bombardier…) and has its headquarter office in Merignac, France.
Organized in multiples divisions of excellence (Engineering, Certification, Project Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Marketing and After Sales), OA is responsible for all processes from the beginning to the end. As a zero-defect culture team, OA supplies the most reliable and efficient systems for client’s satisfaction. OA has a permanent team of engineers and PhD’s exclusively dedicated to research, development and qualification. The entire range of products has thus all international certifications that are essential to commercialize, install and reference the products. Particularly OA has developed a fully owned hardware and software design for an HD & 4K camera (externally and internally mounted).

100% thermoplastic sandwich – « Vacuum Bag Only » minimizes finishing work – greater lightweight design.

This panel is constructed from TP foam and two glass TP skins. The adhesion between the skin and core is ensured through vacuum bagging in the oven without the use of any adhesive film. The lay-up process is faster compared to thermoset prepreg, and the top surface quality eliminates the need for nearly all finishing operations before painting. With this concept, companies engaged in aircraft interiors manufacturing no longer need to invest in heavy and costly industrial equipment. Instead, they can gradually transition to thermoplastic solutions.

Carbon Polycarbonate Fire Resistant Hybrid Leg

Thanks to a hybrid process, the design of this part is optimized in terms of continuous fiber quantity. Beginning with thin organo-sheets, a 2D near-net shape preform is created through nesting, cutting, and welding organo-sheet patches. This preform is then stamped and over-injected to integrate functionalities at minimal cost. With this technology, waste is minimized, and mechanical properties are precisely tuned where necessary.
