Patrice BERGAMINI, Diplomatic Adviser to Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman & CEO of CMA CGM Group
French career diplomat and former European Union Ambassador to Tunisia, he joined CMA CGM Group in Summer 2020.
He joined the Quai d’Orsay in 1995 when he was aged 25. His diplomatic career has seen him working on all the main international conflicts and crises of the last 30 years : from the Balkan wars to the Arab Springs, the Iran nuclear talks to the Quartet negotiations on the Middle East Peace Process, from the nascent European and Security Defence Policy to international counter-terrorism.
He has served in Paris, Rome, the Balkans, Tripoli and Brussels; the latter as Deputy Director in the Office of the first Chief European diplomat, Javier Solana for 10 years. He then served as Co-President of the Union for the Mediterranean and its 43 Ambassadors in 2012. Latterly, in 2016, he was appointed EU Ambassador to Tunisia.
In 2020 he joined the CMA CGM Group and is currently serving as the Diplomatic Adviser to the Chairman and CEO of CMA CGM Group, a French family company and world leader in maritime transportations and logistics.
