Winery La Rouviole (925-4)

Winery La Rouviole extends over nearly 40 hectares, 27 of which are vineyards. It is located in the heart of the Petit Causse, in the production area of the Cru La Livinière and AOP Minervois, between Carcassonne and Narbonne, a few kilometres from Minerve, an exceptional Cathar site, and about 40 kilometres from the Mediterranean. The vineyard is situation on the slopes, on a clay-limestone soil, with a southern exposure and an exceptional amount of sunshine (more than 300 days per year). Added to this terroir are the scents of the surrounding brush: thyme, lavender, rosemary, almond, fig, cherry, holm oak and olive trees, which all contribute to the aromatic complexity of the wines. Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan, the main grape varieties of the Minervois and Cru La Livinière, make up the estate’s vineyard.
