The Bologne distillery is the oldest distillery in Guadeloupe. Formerly a sugar refinery, it has been producing high quality agricultural rum since 1887. Heir to this long tradition, the Sargenton-Callard family has remained faithful to the craftsmanship their region through the terroir and their sugarcane. They harvest from an area of 150Ha of cane, including a rare variety of black cane. One of the fundamental characteristics of Bologne rum is its remarkable ability to age. Each year, the Bologne cuvées are awarded medals, and its sustainability commitment is also notable, given that they released the first organic agricultural rum from Guadeloupe and remain the only High Environmental Value certified distillery.
