Previously used as an inn and a hunting lodge, the Pazac estate finally became a farm in the 20th century, and a winegrowing estate in 1968, when the land was cleared and drained. Today, there are 8 winegrowers with 280 hectares spread throughout 5 villages around Nîmes, in AOP Costières de Nîmes & IGP Côteaux du Pont du Gard. The vineyard is the northernmost from the Costières and the southernmost from the Côtes du Rhône. The iron-rich soil evoques the Château Neuf du Pape Terroir, which produces rich, fruity and powerful wines. Since the 2020 harvest, they have been certified HVE 3. The dry and windy climate of the vineyards allow for less treatments on the vines; some years, it can be as few as two treatments. The terroir contributes to low yields, without residual pesticides.
