Château Toulouze is located in the Graves de Vayres appellation, in the Bordeaux region, on the left bank of the Dordogne River. The wines are essentially made from the Merlot grape, which thrives on the gravely and sandy terroirs. The appellation is small but famous : historically, it is the second oldest appellation after Bordeaux. The First edition of the Féret (1832), the bible for Bordeaux wines, does mention it as the second wine of the Pomerol appellation. The premium quality of the wines has been awarded at several international wine competitions.
