Château d’Astros (718-4)

Located in Vidauban, in the heart of Provence, between Draguignan and Saint-Tropez, the estate covers 1700 acres, including 200 acres of vines and 25 acres of apple trees. The domain’s history dates to the 12^th century, starting with the Knights Templar, succeeded by the Knights of Malta then the Maurel family from Marseille, 9 generations. In fact, the first vines of the estate date back to the time of the Templars. In the 1950s, Bernard Maurel breathed  new life into the wine business, allowing the terroir to speak for itself. Characterized by diversity which brings great complexity to the wines, this aromatic richness is accentuated by the wide range of grape varieties adapted to the different plots : Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, Rolle, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Caladoc, Merlot, Marselan, Muscat & Mourvèdre.
