ABOUT US :

FlowStop develops innovative, custom-made flood protection solutions designed to protect building openings against water intrusion. The company has deployed 9,000 devices to date, achieved €5 million in revenue in 2025, and holds active patents in both Europe and the United States.

Flooding is the world’s leading natural disaster in terms of economic damage. According to the World Bank, 1.47 billion people — nearly 19% of the global population — are exposed to significant flood risk. In many cases, water levels remain below one meter, meaning that damage can often be prevented with simple and effective protection solutions.

FlowStop has developed a patented inflatable flood barrier compatible with doors, garage doors, patio doors and all types of building openings. The device requires no construction work, inflates in just a few minutes and can be easily stored when not in use. Every solution is custom-made to perfectly fit each opening, offering a reliable, reusable and cost-effective alternative to traditional flood barriers.

FlowStop serves private homeowners, businesses and public authorities across Europe and North America. Its devices are already in use by major industrial groups, public infrastructures and municipalities exposed to flood risk. The company was awarded the Prime Minister’s Prize at the Concours Lépine 2023, an official recognition of its innovation at the highest level.

FlowStop is a patented inflatable flood barrier designed to protect building openings from floodwater intrusion.

Installed in seconds and inflated in less than a minute, FlowStop creates a strong watertight seal across doors, garage doors, industrial access points, service entrances, loading bays, technical openings, and canals. The system requires no construction work, no permanent installation and no tools, allowing immediate protection when flooding threatens.

Each FlowStop is custom-manufactured to fit the exact dimensions of the opening, ensuring maximum efficiency and reliability. Lightweight, reusable and easy to store, FlowStop provides a fast, cost-effective and highly efficient alternative to traditional flood barriers for homes, businesses and public infrastructure.

FlowStop uses high-strength dropstitch technology, the same structural material used in high-performance inflatable watercraft. Once inflated, thousands of internal fibers tension the PVC layers to create a rigid, highly resistant barrier capable of withstanding flood pressure.

The device also integrates dual sealing cushions and EPDM compression joints that adapt to wall and floor irregularities, ensuring reliable watertightness.

Each FlowStop is custom-manufactured to fit the exact dimensions of the opening, providing fast deployment and optimal protection without any construction work.

NEW INNOVATION

FlowStop has developed a patented inflatable flood barrier technology that allows buildings to be protected from flooding in less than a minute, without construction work or permanent installation.

Using high-strength dropstitch materials and a unique sealing system, FlowStop creates a rigid and watertight barrier once inflated. Each device is custom-made to fit the exact dimensions of the opening, ensuring reliable protection against rising water.

This innovation transforms flood protection from a heavy infrastructure solution into a fast, deployable and scalable device accessible to homes, businesses and public infrastructure.
