1. WESTRAND presentation and history:

Westrand invented in 1993 the industrial odour removal profession based on neutralizing products.
Until then, only masking or over-smelling products existed. Westrand produces and markets a very wide range of reagents (patented). They are derived from a combination of natural and synthetic essential oils containing a mixture of aldehydes and ketones. Westrand also design and install the engineering systems to diffuse these reagents.

We have 4 main sectors of activity:
· Garbage sector: household waste or chemical product incinerators, methane fermentations, non-hazardous waste storage facilities, sludge, and green waste composting, …
· Wastewater sector: wastewater treatment plants, gravity-fed sewers, lifting stations, lagoons, …
· Industry sector: Petrochemical, food industry, slaughtering, …
· Soil decontamination: old gas plants, chemical discharges, old refineries, old gas station, …
Westrand is recognized for its effectiveness and responsiveness.
A global company, Westrand is established in more than 25 countries with more than 1 500 references.

2. 2. WESTRAND products:
A. Chemical reactions:
Our products are composed of natural and synthetic essential oils made up of mixtures of:
· Aldehydes
· Ketones
These mixtures neutralize by chemical reactions (see appendix) foul-smelling gases such as:
· Ammonia
· Amines
· Hydrogen sulphide
· Mercaptans
· Other
The use of our neutralizers ensures the decrease of 90 to 95% of the odour concentration.
