TMW

#evaporation #wastewater #watertreatment #reuse #concentration #water

about us :

TMW is a French cleantech company focused on wastewater management, through manufacturing, engineering and consulting activities. The company has developed a plastic evaporator that is able to concentrate very corrosive liquids, and can be used as an effluent concentrator, or as a concentration process step. This technology is based on a proprietary plastic plate heat exchanger technology produced in its facilities in Angers (France): GEPPI. The GEPPI condenses the water evaporated from the liquid flow and transfers the condensing heat to the incoming liquid flow. 80% of the evaporation heat is recycled this way in the evaporator itself. The remaining 20% of energy needed for the evaporation can be collected from the industrial site as waste heat or from the produced streams of distillate and concentrate thanks to a heat pump system. The full solution then reaches very low specific energy consumption.

As the process is performed at atmospheric pressure, and low temperature (on average 40°C lower than boiling point), it is avoiding foaming and fogging phenomena, ensuring high quality distillate. Featuring neither vacuum pump nor heat pump in the evaporation module, it requires very low maintenance and it is very resistant to chemical degradation. TMW has developed 3 evaporation modules, MHD05, MHD2, and MHD5, featuring nominal evaporation capacity of respectively 500 L, 2 m3 and 5 m3 per day. The modules are then assembled in ECOSTILL plants featuring 1 to 10 modules. ECOSTILL plants can be assembled in the wastewater treatment building or it can containerized and delivered as a plug-and-play solution on site.

Around the evaporation modules, TMW has developed a full range of plastic devices and equipment to treat and manage water based flows : filters, pumps, tanks, washing and testing banks, and heat exchangers.

More generally, TMW is supporting its customers from the initial audit through to the implementation of an industrial water treatment and reuse solution. Consulting, testing, piloting and engineering phases are usual business in order to implement the right solution, should it include an evaporation step or not.

TMW brings a unique combination of expertise to the water treatment market:
– plastic machinery and equipment for chemical or sanitary constraints,
– automation and remote monitoring for traceability and process control,
– full support from preliminary design to commissioning,
– water and energy saving solutions.

The ECOSTILL evaporation technology is able to concentrate very corrosive liquids, to reduce effluent volumes or concentrate diluted solutions. 80% of the evaporation heat is recycled in the evaporator itself, 20% can be produced by a dedicated heat pump system, achieving very low specific energy consumption. Performed at atmospheric pressure and 40°C lower than boiling point, it is avoiding foaming and fogging phenomena, ensuring high quality distillate. The evaporation modules are made of plastic, and feature neither vacuum pump nor heat pump, they are very resistant to chemical degradation. 3 module sizes are available: 500 L, 2 m3 and 5 m3/day of evaporation capacity. An ECOSTILL plant includes up to 10 modules, and can be built on site or containerized and delivered as a plug-and-play solution.

TMW’s GEPPI plastic plate heat exchangers are thermally efficient and chemically highly resistant. They can be made to measure from different plastic materials depending on the application:

-10 to 85°C,
– sheets of around 40 x 40 cm2,
– maximum pressure of 1 bar relative,
– heat transfer capacity up to 240 kW/K/m3,
– resistance to acids, alkalis and salts
– low pressure drops on liquid and gas,
– very compact compared to a tubular plastic heat exchanger,
– very suitable as a condenser,
– low-release materials for pharmaceutical and food applications,
– The G-L heat exchanger can be used in immersion with forced circulation,
– 2″ straight or elbow unions, adjustable number of plates.

MIL’S S.A.S

MIL’S S.A.S

#vacuumpumps #vacuumsystems #blowers #oxygengenerators

about us :

MIL’S is a designer and manufacturer of industrial vacuum systems and oxygen generators, ranked today as a major actor of these sectors. Our strengths : a full control of the eco design, an in depth knowledge of the product and the general quality of our products and services with the ISO 9001 and 140001 certifications.
Since 1926, MIL’S has proved its value in vacuum, oxygen and air applications and has developed a strong technical culture from its experiences. It has enabled us to develop dedicated solutions for each application with different technologies.
MIL’S cares about its customers and the environment respect this is why the energy efficiency aspects of the products has become a priority for our technical teams.

Vacuum sewage systems: gravity installations cannot be used in environmentally sensitive zones or problematic geographic areas, nearby lakes, rivers, or the sea, on marshy grounds or around an abstraction of drinking water. A network under vacuum is adapted to many settings, reducing investment and operating costs from the installation laying to the self-cleaning of the pipes due to the speed of the flow.

MIL’S vacuum stations equipped with oil lubricated vane or dry claw pumps, filters, and liquid traps allow the effluent to be suck up from the collection pits and transported to the storage tank. Our pumps have been specifically designed to handle the corrosive gases with stainless steel reinforced parts and monitoring sensors to remote the pump status to the general control board.

The aeration and agitation require the injection of air. Our regenerative blowers and low pressure compressors deliver oil-free clean air to the basins. The array of flows starts to a few cubic meters per hour up to several thousand. As these units are nearly maintenance-free, the operation costs are low. These machines are also popular for back washing sand filtration. The air flowing through the sand will break up the compacted bed, loosening the particles, to clean up the media.

On-site oxygen plants: Mil’s PSA and VPSA oxygen generation systems deliver oxygen with a purity up 95%. Switching to on-site production remove the dependence to recurrent truck deliveries reducing all at once the carbon footprint, the administrative hassle and the handling cylinder risks. It also gives the flexibility to meet peak demand.

Among the common processes where oxygen is a key factor:

• Reduction of hydrogen sulphides. Injecting oxygen remove odors and limits corrosion.

• Injection of oxygen into wastewater basins. Using oxygen instead of air improves the plant reliability increasing the bacteria load and the sludge setting.

• Feeding of ozone generators. Supplying concentrated oxygen is an effective step in production of ozone for water purification.

Containerized plants are available for a maximal adaptability.

#water analysis #micropollutants #target analysis #spectral-fingerprint #non target-analysis

about us :

Lodiag is a water analysis laboratory specialized in analysis for emerging pollutants (drugs, pesticides, metabolites, narcotics, etc.). Our laboratory is located in Alsace, in the 3 borders region. Specialized in organic micropollutant research in water, we work mainly with drinking water suppliers, local authorities, WWTPs and water treatment companies. Our customers are located mainly in Switzerland, Belgium and France.

The Lodiag laboratory is able to analyze all water type (drinking water, groundwater, salted water, surface water and industrial effluents) thanks to our innovative high-resolution mass spectrometry technology and our database of over 1000 key molecules.

The targeted analysis here focuses on molecules that are mostly outside the regulatory framework. We chose these compounds because their sales tonnages suggest that they will be present in the water cycle, and it was this volume criterion that led us to select these 1,000 compounds from our database.

Renowned for targeted analysis, Lodiag is also the leader in non-targeted with automatic compound identification , a service launched in 2023. Non-targeted analysis is defined as the analysis of all signals (known or unknown) present in samples, without a priori: the objectives here are to highlight or even putatively identify signals using dedicated methods. Made possible by the use of a high- resolution mass spectrophotometer, this service can identify the majority of organic compounds suspected of being present in a fresh or salt water sample. Each signal detected is compared automatically with internal and on-line databases (over 300,000 compounds in all). These molecules come from a wide variety of families: pesticides and drugs, dyes, building blocks, varnishes…..

👉 Lodiag is the leader in this innovative service organic compounds present in a sample and detected by our system.

Recognized for the analysis of organic molecules, our customers also entrust us with the analysis of samples containing unidentified products. We are called upon to analyze and identify unknown compounds in odorous, visually abnormal or differently textured samples. Any request for the identification of organic compounds in a sample can be considered
