Rodrigo Naranjo Escovar is a Venezuelan investment banker with over two decades of experience in LatAm. Mr. Naranjo has been Managing Partner of VIPCapital, Venezuela’s largest investment banking firm since 2011. Before that, Mr. Naranjo worked for over a decade in New York with the LatAm investment banking departments of JPMorgan, ABN AMRO and the Royal Bank of Scotland. Mr. Naranjo has executed debt capital markets, syndicated loans, acquisition finance and liability management transactions for clients in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, and Venezuela. Mr. Naranjo was a key member of the ABN AMRO group awarded the 2004 and 2006 IFR Magazine “LatAm Loan House of the Year”, and in 2007 the Euromoney “LatAm Debt House of the Year” prizes. Mr. Naranjo has led a number of structured deals awarded transaction-specific prizes by other prestigious international finance magazines. Mr. Naranjo has an MPP from Georgetown University (top 2% of his class) and a BS in Finance and Investments from Babson College (Magna Cum Laude). Mr. Naranjo is a founder and director of Venezuela’s private capital association Venecapital.
