CHRIST-ANDERSON AHOUA-BOUAE, Head of communications – EDF Africa
A former professional footballer trained at FC Nantes, he has over 10 years of experience playing in France and internationally, including 4 years at a high level with clubs such as Torino Calcio, Queens Park Rangers, and with the Côte d’Ivoire U-20 national team.
After this successful career, he transitioned into the sports industry, spending 8 years as a Sports Sponsorship Communications Officer within the Brand and Image Department at EDF Group. This experience was highly successful, as he helped strengthen the « EDF brand » through events such as the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, partnerships with the French federations of swimming, disabled sports, and football, and the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
In 2017, he took on a new challenge by joining EDF Group’s International Division, specifically the Africa Middle East Division, working on Off-Grid projects in Africa. Responsible for the business development and marketing of EDF’s rural electrification offer in Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Kenya, and other countries, he also leads “EDF Pulse Africa,” a support program for African startups in the energy sector.
Since March 2023, he has been EDF Group’s Head of Communications for Africa.
