KARIM AITTALB, Managing Director – ADVENS-GEOCOTON and initiator of the ALFA coalition
Karim Ait Talb is an expert in international development with over 20 years of experience in Africa and the Middle East. After studying international business, he started his career in 2001 at DOGA as Export Manager for Africa, before joining Plastic Omnium Environnement in 2005, where he was responsible for business development in Africa & the Middle East. He then continued his career at VEOLIA in 2006, initially in Paris and later in Dubai.
In 2012, he joined the GEOCOTON group, a historical player in African cotton, where he held several positions, eventually becoming Deputy CEO in 2019.
Karim Ait Talb is also involved in multilateral cooperation initiatives, such as the IAM AFRICA coalition, launched at the One Planet Summit in 2021, and the ALFA (Agriculture-Livestock-Fisheries-Africa) coalition, launched during the Africa-France Summit in 2022. He accompanied the French President on official visits to Cameroon and Angola in 2022 and 2023, where he highlighted the key role of agriculture in Africa-France partnerships.
Finally, he was a member of the Africa Committee of Medef International from 2020 to 2023.
