NADIA FETTAH-ALAOUI , Moroccan Minister of Economy and Finance
Nadia Fettah, whom His Majesty King Mohammed VI may God assist, appointed on October 07, 2021, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Kingdom of Morocco is the first woman to hold this position
in this Ministry.
Born in 1971 in Rabat, she had also served as Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport and Social Economy between 2019 and 2021. A graduate of the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris in 1994, Ms. Nadia Fettah began
her career as a consultant with Arthur Andersen before creating a private equity fund in Morocco which she managed for 5 years.
After holding the position of General Manager of a large insurance company in Morocco, she accompanied a leading investment holding company in its M&A operations in Africa and the Middle East.
In 2017, Ms. Nadia Fettah held the position of General Manager of the Sanlam Pan Africa Group before being appointed Minister. Known in the insurance industry in Africa, Ms. Nadia Fettah was elected “CEO of the Year” in 2018 by
the Africa CEO Forum in Abidjan.
Active in the associative field, Mrs. Nadia Fettah is a founding member of the Club of Women Directors in Morocco and a member of the international network “Women Corporate Directors”.
Mrs. Nadia Fettah is married and has two children.
